About to pull my tranny out for a whining in first, second and it goes away in third. Was told it was the input shaft bearing or front bearing but I don't know. Tob and pilot bearing were replaced 1000 miles ago upon new engine. This stupid car is a money pitt.....

I have been through all types of **** trying to run a return style regulator and cut 40 down to 6. Sumped gas tank is a must. Stay FI if all possible !!! For your resale values sake. I would much rather have streetability over a couple of extra horses on the top end.

I am an alignment tech, try to rotate you tires and see what happens. Works for me every day. Tires tend to have high and low spots even new ones. :nice:

I have just built a 95 GT that is carbed and I can't run an air cleaner (and shut my hood). Would prefer a cobra r, or just a plain cowl. Not really into all the ricer looking ones. I live in Knoxville,TN so give a price with shipping. I may pick up if not too far. Thanks

I Live in Knoxville, TN and we have 2 different mustang salvage yards locally. I bought a 03 2v for my wife's 96 GT for 1000 bucks and it had 30k...That is cheap to me for that kinda mileage. Especially complete motor vs. rebuild.

BFG makes the KDW which is the best street tire that size...well actually 275/40-17. I was having traction issues with my cobra and like you said around the 300 mark they get loose at the top of 2nd which is scary at times and that tire solved alot of my problems. They are very sticky right out...

Or stick a stethoscope in the valley and see if you can pinpoint it or it gets louder than when it's on the top end.

The headlights are on a different harness you should not have to do anything with them but as far as the wires going to the fan I just put my fan on a switch. You will have to keep you old computer if you want some of the stuff on your dash cluster to work like factory tach and temperature...

You need to get your gas tank sumped for the carb fuel pump and get a good distributor/ignition box. Take your time and make it clean....Good Luck

Thanks for the info sounds like a plan.. The engine is a scat 331 with the old roush iron heads. It was pretty chopped up when I got it so I am de-rigging everything all back right. I just think that the sn-95 accessories looks way too cluttered for a carbed engine. Will I have any clearance...

I would do a compression test because I had similar symtoms and I was a cracked piston..
