    Clutch change help

Thanks for the help. I was able to separate the trans from the bell housing. I will be dropping it off for a rebuild after the holiday so the install will be sometime later in a week or two.

    Clutch change help

I'm trying to change the clutch in a 96 and am having difficulty getting at the bolts at the top of the bell housing. Can anybody give me any tips on how to get through this job? I got the shifter out and the starter off along with the lower bolts that I can get to. Drive shaft is out and...

    Clutch noise

I have a 6-cyl 96 5 speed that is making a strange noise in the clutch that I have never heard before and I have been driving a stick of one model or another for almost 25 years. It is only making the noise when I depress the clutch pedal. It is making a sick liquidish whirring kind of noise...

    95 GT Vert T5 3.08s to 3.55s?

As the title states, I have a 95 GT Vert with a T5 and stock 3.08 gears. How much difference will I feel going to 3.55 gears? I was thinking 3.73s but read that the T5 is geared different in the 95-95s and with 3.73s, 1st gear would be worthless (like shifting to 2nd at 10-15 mph).

    Cobra cam vs GT cam

I found these specs posted at another forum. I realize that the lift is slightly better on the Cobra but do the other specs like duration not make up for the Cobra's additional lift? 1994 PN# F1ZE-AA This was a carryover grind from the 1993 model year, the only change is detailed below with...

    Cobra cam vs GT cam

I read somewhere that the GT cam is different and better than the Cobra cam. In other words, the GT cam will actually make more power than the Cobra cam in the same engine. Could there possibly be any truth to this?

    1995 GT dyno numbers

I found a site where a dyno shop post numbers for cars they run and lists the mods on the car so I looked for something close to what I have so I could entertain the possibilities. I found these numbers for a 1995 GT and they look really good but something just doesn't seem right. He went from...

All I can say is WOW!

Thanks for the compliments. I was trying to keep it pretty stock-looking. I dressed it up just a tiny bit by painting the intake black with the plate black with the red lettering. I already had the red Taylor wires. Lowering will come right after the 3:73s!

So then do I just print out the GT file and then open the Cobra file and manually input the duty cycles and such from the GT printout?

I haven't been into the TWEECER software for almost a year. How do I set the injectors to 19lb? I thought that was determined physically by the injector.

All I can say is WOW!

So I finally got my car running again tonight after my mild build and I can only imagine what it would do if I would have spent some real money on it for some real performance parts. This car is now so awesome (to me) that I momentarily debated not even bothering to do a gear swap. Then I came...

I am (hopefully) going to finish my head/intake swap either tonight or tomorrow. The car is a 1995 GT convertible 5 speed that was bone stock right down to the wheels and even ignition wires when I bought it. Over the past several weeks, I have put heads from a 1993 Cobra on it along with an...

    Ford Racing valve covers

Thanks for the reply. I am running it on a stock motor with GT40 heads and Explorer intake with a 1" spacer. I had to notch the fiberglass rib under the stock hood but it all fits. I am thinking that I will try running this cap on the driver's side and either a PCV or just a plug with a...

    Ford Racing valve covers

I have a brand new set of these valve covers that I want to use on my 95 GT The problem that I am running into is that the oil filler/breather holes are on the wrong side. The one on the passenger's side ends up in the back of the engine and the one on the driver's side is in front. I was...

Check out my new '94 GT!

Looks very much like my 95 did when I brought it home about a year ago. Nice to find a very original car to start with. Mine even still had the original dated plug wires until I replaced them. She's all tore down now though getting GT40 heads, intake, and headers. Here she is when I brought...

    Cheap stainless headers

I am looking at some nice shorties for a pretty good price. Assuming that I can get the Ford Racing unequal length headers (P/N M-9430-N95) for $365 to my door, or the JBA (P/N 1624S-4) shorties for $334 to my door, which is the better deal, and how much better of a seal is it? They are both...

    Pretty irritated right now

Thanks for the info Rick. I guess it wasn't the seller's fault then. So did the 93 Cobra have a 5.0 or the 5.8 then?

    Pretty irritated right now

Thanks a bunch for the link stykthyn. Jegs wanted twice that amount for the ARP bushings.
