I purchased my car with 3:73 in it and they sucked butt! 4:10 are the way to go, and are lots of FUN! You are correct, 3:73 are a little on the sloppy side. With the 4:10 you can get the tires to chirp or burn like nothin. I have an automatic and I can get it to burn in 2nd at 5500RPM...

+1 I've got mine up for $9,000, will negotiate with the right person. By that I mean not someone who's not going to take care of it and appreciate it like I have. Nothing is worse than seeing your old car driving by looking like a pile! I love my Stang and don't want to part with it...

I'd say your battery is toast. The Optima's are the way to go, I have one in my 2000 Gt converted to Cobra, and it has been doing the SAME thing. time for a new battery!
