Very easy to install

I replaced my air pump recently and I was still getting a P1414 (High voltage to Air pump) So I also replaced the relay. Now when I start the car, I can hear the air pump revving up really loud for about 10-15 seconds, then it goes away. Car runs fine, no codes. I heard it again this morning...

Well, I got the tool today set the #1 cylinder to TDC, popped the tool on, it was perfect, reinforcing my belief that you can pop out the old and put the new one in the same. I replaced the actual sensor, Im gonna drive it tomorow. I will be moving on to injectors if its still not fixed.

I was double checking the setting of my camshaft sensor assembly, I just did the finger in the whole trick for TDC (LOL) and I had it perfect, even without the tool ( I ordered the tool to check it) I got it now. Thanks for the replies.

Im having a heck of a time finding my timing marks to get TDC. The last guy painted the blancer/crank pulley. I see what looks like an A then a line then an O is that it? 1999 3.8 I have nothing like what the crappy haynes manual shows.

Thats what mine was, I replaced the whole init (160 bucks) .

I opened up my smog/air pump and there is a foam filter inside that was pretty much toast. Is it something I should replace (cant find it anywhere) or will I be fine without it? It was so clogged I doubt it was doing anyhing.

Well the 411 and 1414 codes showed up after I replaced the fuel filter, so those are new. So I went ahead and pulled the pump. I am looking for a tool now to redo the cam sensor. So hopefully that will cure the 300 code.

I replaced the whole assembly, then later cracked the plastic sensor. So would installing it without the tool cause such intermittent misfire? Wouldnt it happen pretty regular? I basically pulled the old one, and lined the new one up exactly the same and installed it. As far as the other...

You just reminded me of something. While changing the thermostat, I cracked the sensor itself on top of the camshaft position sensor, it was bent a bit, so I JB welded in place, think maybe something is screwed up there? Also, today I changed the fuel filter, now Im getting these codes...

I actually got one at idle today waiting for a light, I didnt feel it, but the light came on. Then afterward one at speed. It seems like it needs to warm up for it to happen also. No noid set. What should I look for on the harness? just screwed up wiring? I did hold a dowel to the running...
