85-86 door body moldings on 87-93

The one issue I see is the window beltline trim. The 86 and earlier clip on the door edge, while the 87-93 use plastic discs riveted to holes in the doors so the trim can slide in place. Just something to think about if you want to keep the 86 beltline trim.

How To: sn95 seats (04 cobra) in a fox coupe (MANY pics)

Nice that this thread popped up again. Chris did a great job putting together a whole lot of the various pieces to this swap in a concice post with great pictures! As for your questions, the front seats bolt right in with the original tracks the seats came with. If you want to use the Fox...

Mustang5l5's Progress Thread - Archived Progress thread '08-'20.

Great to see you still working on the 5.0! I've been so busy, I still haven't put the new motor in my 87, but I figured I'd catch up with people on here to give me some motivation.

    300.000 Mile Marker

Not really the seafoam itself, but I bet the seafoam helped some gunk work loose in the motor, it traveled to the oil pan and ended up clogging the oil pump intake. By me revving it up with reduced oil pressure, the crank did not like it!

    300.000 Mile Marker

Sadly, that was going to be the LAST emissions test, as 25 yr old cars are exempt, and the 87 would have qualified in 2012. Edit: Wow, this was my 1,987th post on here! Neat!

    300.000 Mile Marker

Me. It had struggled to pass inspections the prior two years so in preparation I ran some Seafoam through it. Usually I change the oil the next day but I ended up driving it a couple more days. I left a dealership after bragging on it, reved it out in first gear on the feeder road and BOOM...

2000 GT coupe rear seats into foxbody?

Here is the thread with the info on how I installed my seats, front & back, but I need to reload my pics again. I'll do it soon, but I'll have to find a few of them again. http://forums.corral.net/forums/general-mustang-tech/537531-2002-seats-1991-gt-how-get-them.html Here are some pics of...

Late Model restoration 5 Lug conversion

I believe someone did have to machine down the nose of the rotors to fit Mach 1 wheels on their Fox spindles though.

    5 lug disc questions

The only things different between the brakes on V6 and GT cars is the hydroboost MC & booster on the 96-04 GTs. Oh, and get the brackets to hold the ebrake cables to the control arms if your control arms are stock. Since you have a 93, yes you can probably use the cables from the 04 also...

    Using 98GT donor for 5-lug conversion ?

Only if his car is a 4 cyl car with 4 cyl brakes. The V8 spindles are the same as the Sn95 spindles at the shock mounts. The 4 cyl spindles are thicker. You can use the complete rear brakes and the axles from the 98 on your car if the wheels are only 8" wide. It will move the wheels out 3/4"...

    Fox body doors

Swapping out manual regulators for power is not too bad, I've done it on my car. If the manual door is in better shape, IMO it would be worth it. I had to add the regulator, power lock, wiring, and the rubber boot for the wires. One thing to be careful though, the arm on the power regulator is...

    5 lug disc questions

The V6 MC and booster should work just fine for you. Afterall that setup was used on the V6 cars with the same base PBR calipers and rear brakes as the GTs. And the V6 is not hydroboost, but a regular brake system. As for the booster, there are two styles, one has a straight arm for the brake...

NOOOO Heat After Heater Core Replacement

If your vacuum lines are bad, the air flow will default to the windshield. The vacuum only controls the location of the airflow. If you still get AC or vent flow out of your dash vents or the heater vents under the dash, then your vacuum is OK. Now the blend door that controls how hot or cold...

    Engine removal help please

Good write ups guys! I will be pulling my motor for the first time next year and also probably replacing it with an Explorer motor. Coincidentally, I need to replace my clutch too as it started slipping before I blew the motor. I've replaced the clutch a good 5 or 6 times over my 306,000...

E brake does not hold car from rolling: 91 GT

The adjuster is behind the oblong rubber plug on the brake backing plate. You can use a brake adjusting tool, basically like a small crowbar of sorts, or even a screwdriver, to turn the star wheel on the adjuster to tighten the shoes against the drum. Then when you pull the ebrake handle, it...

    1985 gt window

According to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market, one place I check a lot of the time for interchange compatibility, they are all the same as long as they are the same type. Coupe & hatch are the same, vert & t top are different.

    E-brake cables. What to buy?

I've run the Autozone pioneer brand ones on my car since I did my 5 lug conversion about 9 years ago. One of them did kind of rust up, so I ended up replacing it, but IMO for $16 each, it would take me replacing them 4 or 5 times to make the Ford one a better deal. Raybestos is a good name...

The official "How many miles does your Fox have?" thread...

Interesting idea. This balancer is my 3rd Ford one, the previous one broke as I was entering my parking lot at work, so I know how a broken balancer feels, this was way more. It was driving great, I just shifted to second gear and the motor went BOOM, and then shook all over, bad vibrations and...
