I am doing this conversion this morning and I have a problem. I am finding that the 2 mounting holes for the spindle to strut conection are about 1 to1.5" apart. Cant get them to come together. If I put a jack under the control arm, the whole car goes up, and the holes stay the same...

I have an '85 GT with the '86-'93 8.8" rear axle. I need a pair of 5 lug axle shafts. When I look at what there is available, there are different axle spline counts and I dont know which one I should be buying. Can someone help me with this please.
