    Also forgot the mentioned that I hear a very noticable hissing (sounds like an air leak) noise as I apply the brake pedal to the floor. Could this mean anything?

    I should have mentioned that. Yes I went through the about 2 bottles of the last time I did it. I saw new, clear fluid through all the calipers. In addition, I did disconnect the ABS system and could not lock up the wheels. Still seemed like I was trying to stop a train.

    Thanks for the comments guys. I'll be in the market for a new top pretty soon. I think I"ll be going with a black top instead of the tan. What does DFG mean? The paint job cost about $2600 total. Not a perfect paint job but it will do.

    charging problems: search function not helpful

    Ok when looking for the fuseable link, I find that there is one almost connected to the positive battery cable. When I unplug he connection, the car won't start. I guess that link links the starter? What about the alternator? If the link was dead for the alt, would the alt be getting any voltage?
