    Check Engine Light Recommendations (22, 67 -- 12)

I did not do idle reset but what I did is this: Performed a computer reset as instructed. Replaced barometric pressure sensor. Took off air filter (it never gets that dirty) from fender (always a pain) and checked rest of CAI to ensure proper fit. All looked good. Didn't see anything...

    Check Engine Light Recommendations (22, 67 -- 12)

Measuring voltage on the IAC connector. Measure both pins? If so I only got .2v with key on. I cleaned the IAC valve. I did not soak but sprayed pretty well. I'm sure I didn't get all the carbon out but much better than it was (wasn't that bad). I have a new BAP sensor on order that I'll...

    Check Engine Light Recommendations (22, 67 -- 12)

Took off the IAC Valve and with key on, measured only .2V on the connectors.

    Check Engine Light Recommendations (22, 67 -- 12)

Ran the test again, this time with the clutch pushed in. Prior to running the test, I disconnected then reconnected the MAF connector and also disconnected the neg terminal to reset (5 min). Codes are the same except no longer getting code 67 because of the clutch. Still a 22 KOEO and 12 KOER

    Check Engine Light Recommendations (22, 67 -- 12)

91 5.0 38K miles, mostly stock. I do have a CAI, but it's been on for a while with no check engine light. Any help is appreciated. KOEO 22 - MAF Sensor out of specified range Any way to check this without replacing? I am going to unplug and plug back in to make sure its connected solid...

91 Convertible Exhaust Suggestions (too Stinky)

This may be a dumb question but I may just swap out myself rather than pay someone (here in the DC area) $150+. There are 4 O2 sensors right? If I buy a catted H-Pipe, which 2 O2 sensors get hooked up? Everything is bolt-on, so I am fairly certain with a lift I can swap out. Are there any...

91 Convertible Exhaust Suggestions (too Stinky)

That's what I was wondering, but it seems for viable to just buy a new pipe altogether and have it put on. That way it is done right. May be time to throw in headers too while I'm at it.

91 Convertible Exhaust Suggestions (too Stinky)

That totally sucks - I wasted a few hundred on the X-Pipe. I guess you live and you learn. I can only assume everything is still where it needs to be. I am taking it to the shop where it was installed on Thursday, so I can ask him if simply adding a catted H pipe will work. Maybe I can turn...

91 Convertible Exhaust Suggestions (too Stinky)

So the smog pump and hoses are still on... When buying converters, do I have to buy converters specific for a 91 Mustang, specific to fit my BBK X-pipe, or are they general in size? I'm assuming that is going to be expensive - I shouldn't have sold them..

91 Convertible Exhaust Suggestions (too Stinky)

So this is my second Foxbody - the first was an 89, and I had just about the same setup exhaust-wise. I remember the 89 would leave me smelling like gas if I had the windows and or the top down. So me, not thinking, decided to do the same thing with my 91. I guess I just wasn't thinking. I...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

Jrichker, I most certainly couldn't have done this without you, so thank you a ton. Also the other guys in the beginning of the thread (too tired to look), thanks for all your help as well. Here are some things I will pass along. Make sure to follow the steps posted, one at a time from the...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

So.. I fixed it. I am lead to believe that when whoever decided to put plastic butts on top of the wires rather than soldering them, caused the problem. I will have to go through and take some readings I guess to make sure there are no other issues. Thank you all for your help, I greatly...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

This is the b/o wire that runs to the solenoid. Doesn't look good does it?

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

Also wanted to post a picture of the power cable with b/o wires.. As I said before, "Is it safe to assume that at this point that because the w/y wire on the voltage regulator connector has 12v, then the rectifier connector with the 2 b/o wires is doing its job (i.e. the connector is not...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

I am getting 3.55 K Ohm on each of the black/orange wires. So.. Maybe you've helped me find my problem? I don't think my DMM has a "low ohm setting", just ohms, but I am assuming this is the correct reading. Also, I am not sure if I should be able to test for continuity between the + bat...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

I'm running out now to buy some probes for my DMM (rather than safety pins that aren't working very well), trickle charger, and light meter. If anyone could look at what I've done so far and let me know if anything looks suspicious, that'd be awesome. Right now my battery is sitting at 12.16...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

With ign on, g/r wire for voltage regulator measured 11.5v. Could that be the issue? In the step-by-step, says should be 12. With the ign on and D connector for voltage regulator plugged into the alternator, the battery light DOES come one. When I unplug the D connector with ign on, there is...

91 5.0 Alternator Not Charging - Checked Most Obvious

So starting the Jrichker test... Battery from + to - sits at 12.38 right now. Rectifier connecter black and orange wires both measure 12v. Voltage regulator connector white and yellow wire measures 12v. Is it safe to assume that at this point that because the w/y wire on the voltage...
