    what happened here

ageing Interesting topic, I haven't stuck my head in here in years. Dropped in to see who's left, my 89 incomplete and entire parts pile is going ebay soon. I didn't loose interest, my interests changed and don't have the time to complete. probably pick a complete tc some day, but old...

    Unfortunately, need help again...

Lift up on your clutch pedal to self adjust the cable occasionally, also, go underneath and check/replace the little link from the rocker to the clutch fork. that little cable link makes a really irritating drive home when she brakes.

Just stopping by for a visit.

Just got the parts back tonight, I'll measure the clutch later or have my son post pics over vaca., but at 206,000 miles the original clutch had much left. The .060 mill on the dp head showed a little detonation in the #4cyl. I'll also see if paul can post pics. The 89 body still awaits. Have tc...

Just stopping by for a visit.

Computer troubles, and life in general has kept me away for a while. The 91 is getting parted finally. After 206,000 enjoyable miles, I gotta open her up and see what's left. Original clutch...gotta see it......2.3dp with 30,000 miles since .060 mill job, gotta see the pistons...still starts...

    Wtf???

revelation Having jacked my 91's head by .060, among other things, one comes to the realization that it was definately more fun to drive(especially when it pulls strong all the way to the rev limiter), but, it was neither fast, nor quick. Then one looks at the relative ease of doing the turbo...

Looking for a 2.3 is harder then i thought...

My 2 cents lx stang23--skip the superchip and spend the money on something that will actually make a noticeable difference. andy, If you still need a chassis or turbo coupe parts, email me, and if you're lucky, you'll hit me on a day when I feel like selling out. Neither chassis are beauty...

    oil control and idle Questions

I guess I should have kept that motor  . Congrats doc, 5000 miles, not a bad start. I just put away the 32 today and am turning back to finishing the 89 I started. I'm also looking into the rule book for oval racing the 91 on the local ice racing clubs. :OT: ....oops, keep us...

    Head swap on N/A?

This one caught my eye at work, so I figured I'd chime in. .060 on a dp head was ok with 87 octane at wot. However, the partial throttle would "re-teach" it's mapping and the computer had to be shut down @ every 2 weeks to send it back to the base maps for partial throttle or it would start to...

    1991 getting buried sat.

It knows the time to put on the performance of its life is now or never, so leaving work thurs night, I cut her loose on the rev limiter and pulled a clean one legger through 2nd covering 2 city blocks till she was 1 to 1 on the limiter in second. This from a motor that takes 1 mile to stop...

    1991 getting buried sat.

I still have the 89, a tc block half finished, and mounds of parts, I hope to build that one over winter. I haven't got much more done on my 32 since you saw it(sent it off to a barn for storage a year ago and its gettin lonely), so I gotta bail some of this other project material. The 88 will go...

    Engine paint removal

Some of the speed shops around here have elaborate setups where the block is basically run through solvent, then shot through what looks like an oven. all the rust scale pops off and the block returns looking like a fresh sand casting.(costs a little more than the local warm tank of degreaser...

    Gas Tank Straps

The non ralph nader aproach would be to pound a 3/4" piece of galvanized elect.conduit flat, form it, drill it, bolt it, but also remember to add a 3rd strap and paint them all with galvcoat when done(rust belt anyhow).
