    I know the starter sounds wierd but it is turning the engine over. I'm almost suspect of bad gas or the FPR or possible clogged fuel filter(been changed once in 66k miles). I'll keep yuh updated.

    top speed 4:10's in 4th ????????

    I've had my 97 Cobra redlined in 4th with stock gears. just over 150mph like the book says. i shifted into 5th, and even with it planted it slowed to about 130 or so. I'm really not sure that the stock 300hp will push the car much faster than 150-160 with any gear.

    I personally have 18x9 in the rear with 285's. I've got the eibach springs and also cut a whole coil off them. I get absolutely no rubbing at any time(highspeed cornering or anything)...My friend has a 95 gt with the same springs and i do(cut and all) and he has the 17x10.5 cobra R's with 315's...

    5w20 or 5w30??

    I use the FL820 filter from the parts store. Works way better than the Fram filter. I also just changed over to AmsOil 0W30 Full synthetic. I havent had any problems with it at all.     Springs for a '97 Cobra

    Easy, get the Eibach springs straight out of the Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog..cost is roughly $180..I installed mine in about 1-2hrs. They will drop the car about 1.5"..you'll be very happy with that..(I needed lower so I cut them for closer to a 2-3" drop)
