Official "Post pics of your Bright Tangerine '96" thread

It's been a while but I have an interesting update... Went ahead and bought a Marti Report since they're supposed to be the leader in detailed auto reports for mustangs and it said there's only 666 Bright Tangerine mustangs made. Where did the 829 come from? These are supposed to be licensed...

    Suspension

No problem. 90/10s aren't too bad just driving around town. The highway is a different story lol. Front end feels like a boat.

    Suspension

I've had good luck with just the basic soft front Springs with 90/10 lakewood shocks and 50/50 lakewoods in the rear with LCAs. Although that setup isn't very Street friendly. The coilovers are nice but if you get a drag race specific they can get pricey. Is this a daily driver?

    Upr Rear Coilover Kit

    Upr Rear Coilover Kit

Yeah I tried that. I'll guess I'll have to call them back when I have a while to sit on hold.

    Upr Rear Coilover Kit

Ordering coilovers for the front soon. I have a 2.75 drop on my front with crappy Springs and I'm looking to get about 3" drop with the c/o kit with 10" and 350# springs. What size should I run with the rear? Upr has a 10" 375# spring setup. Would this work? Here is the set I'm looking at...

    1996 Mustang Clutch Snapped. Help!

Shouldn't be an issue starting it. It's just a switch down on the clutch pedal that needs to be depressed to engage the starter. I guess you could bypass the clutch switch just make sure it's in neutral.

    Hood Problems

After a bunch of my friends and I had busted windshields I put pins in all my aftermarket hoods no matter how nice they are. There's a way to hide them and pin them from underneath if you don't like the looks of them.

    Synthetic Oil Vs Regular

Listened to a podcast with Lake Speed Jr an oil guru and he said that it depends on what your seals are conditioned to. If you build a new engine and start using synthetic then keep using it and vice versa. My engine had about 20k miles on it when I bought it and put synthetic in it the first...

    Vibration At 70 Mph

From working for Goodyear I can tell you that if you can drive out of the vibrations it's the tires. Meaning that a tire vibration that come on at say 40-50 mph and goes away after/before that will be a tire balance issue. There's no reason they shouldn't be able to balance it out if they have...

    Throwout Bearing

Yeah. I just used the pilot bearing that came with my Spec clutch but threw the TOB in the trash. The main seal is real easy to replace so you might as well replace it while it's out. There 6 or 8 bolts that hold it in (plus the two on the bottom in the pan) and the whole plate comes out making...

    Throwout Bearing

Not sure about the stock one but the one I took off my car was a pos compared to the FRPP one. I have a picture somewhere. I bought it so I wouldn't have to do it again. Extra security

    Gt500 Water Pump Fitment Question.

I'm doing a 5.4 swap this winter in my 96 GT and the FRPP racing short lock I'm using says it needs a GT500 water pump. What is the difference in this pump and a standard pump? They appear to be the same an if its a length issue I may need to keep a standard pump.

Lol, you have some time. I don't know much about web design, so my friend is going to teach me a little when he gets a chance. Plus I have to save up a little for the software to make a decent site... Not that Godaddy.com thing I have up now, lol.
