    Advice Needed. 351 Or 429?

I like this idea but I wonder what else I would need to add in order to get a 393 eating properly. I have the Explorer injectors in the car now with a stock fuel pump, rail, and adjustable pressure regulator cause I had to bump it up 9PSI over stock. I can only assume the 393 would need a little...

    Advice Needed. 351 Or 429?

Found this bell housing for the BBF but its pretty pricey. When you put that heavy BBF in your mustang did it need stiffer springs in the front end? http://shop.holcombmotorsports.com/PRO-FIT-C4-BELLHOUSING-FOR-BBF-429-460-FREE-SHIPPING-PA26578.htm

    Advice Needed. 351 Or 429?

My 86 GT has been around for 14 years now and between me and my dad working on it the car is pretty dang fast. But the bottom end is a stock 1986 from another car so at some point I know I will have to pull it again. I had a chevy (no title) 4x4 with a 350 in it I was going to put in my Camaro...

    86 Stang Almost Ready.... Again....

Thanks tos. That's exactly what I did and it works. I can see a need for it working as intended though. I let it get to about 210 on the way to work this morning cause I forgot to flip the switch. I must have burnt the stat out when the fail safe failed and the car over heated a couple years...

    86 Stang Almost Ready.... Again....

I love my car but this thing just seems like it does not want to be driven anymore. So last year I tried putting all new steering components under it. Then the kid busted the hatch window with a rock while the other kid lost the column/rack bolt in the grass. That's all fixed though and it has...

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Think I am going to see about having someone make some spacers for it out of steel block. I hate to have play in the steering after all this. Pump, hoses, cooler, and the rack are all new. This last "Little" issue is driving me nuts. She's been sitting for almost two years.

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Its proven to be more of an issue than I thought. I need to spread the mounts in order to get the bushing in and not having the workspace is a major downer. Back to the drawing board and posting a WTB add with crossed fingers.

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Thanks for the response Brian. I will have to take the other side off then and take the brackets to dads to smack them around with a hammer. My vise is buried under a building that fell in over the winter.

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Here is some pics to help illustrate my issue. As you can see, if I use the new brackets the sway bar will be raised up higher. Is this going to be okay, or will it mess something up?

Them Darn Sway Bar Bushings Did Me In.

Okay I am on my second set of center mounts for the sway bar. The first was wrong and now it looks like the second set is also wrong. Might be right after all? Let me explain. I needed the mounts for the rubber bushings since someone hooked a tow chain up to the sway bar. If the new mounts...

Sway Bar Mounts, & Bushings For 86 Gt?

I can find bushings all day, but what about the mounts? Should I be looking for a used set of mounts?

Steering Rack & P Mounting Issue.

I got a new rack &P and the new bushings are wrong. They came with a metal insert but even if I take the old inserts out the mounting bolt is to small for the insert. Its an I/D issue. If I dont use the metal inserts that came with it the rubber bushings I/D are to large. If I use the new...

Calling All Part Cars. I Need A Bolt.

I tried looking 4 times. Twice on my hands and knees with no luck. It could be anywhere really. He likes throwing stuff away and bringing things in, like sticks and rocks. I might find it in the house some day. But rocks are now against the rules. Ive said it a hundred times by now. No more rocks.

Calling All Part Cars. I Need A Bolt.

Awesome. Ive been trying all year to get this car on the road and that's needed. Well that and the hatch glass. While I was looking for the bolt my 4 year old daughter tossed a rock and busted the window out. :(

Calling All Part Cars. I Need A Bolt.

I posted a while ago about my situation. 2 year old son lost a bolt to my car when I was under it. Its in the grass and I cant find it. The bolt is what holds the steering linkage to the rack and pinion. It has a 7/16 12 point head on it. If anyone can sell me one I would appreciate it. None of...

    Rocks Break Windows!!!

Done being upset but feeling under the weather over this. My son tosses a bolt I needed to fix my car in the lawn. Cant find it. While I was looking my daughter throws a rock into my rear hatch glass and busted it bigger than SHT. No way. Yes way. So I am thinking of the 1/8" lexan. Is it rock...
