    When To Change Clutch

Most obviouse sign is when you let it out and the car don't go ..... ..... but if ever it slips when you just go WOT in 4th or 5th gear, then it's on it's way out!

New To Stangnet. Looking For Advice.

I imagine that those 4.10s with the 3.38 low gear of the TR3650 makes for a very short 1st gear! I think back in time .... and my '65 GTO had a great low gear with 4.10s, but it's 1st was only 2.20 .... that's not a lot lower than your Mustang in a second gear start.

Good for your old man, I'ld leave it stock too ..... :nice:

Are All The Recent 5.0 Mustangs Manual Trans?

Mighty nice car there. You likely won't believe this .... but that 08 Bullitt manual would be a lot more enjoyable if made a bit more comfortable when shifting and a simple clutch pedal extension would do the trick. Stock, you are required to take that clutch pedal to the floor while the...

Exhaust Winter Storage Of My '07 Gt

My vote if there was no chance of driving it is under cover resting with float maintainer .... .... and maybe then I'ld build me 4 wooden boxes of 1-1/2" wood that are tall enough and solid enough to set under the rear axle at each side and LCA ball joint area each side to get tires up / off the...

    This is just not right!

Why is the roof just wet on left side of center and snowy on right side? It'll clean up just fine! Wife looked at the pic .... said she sure was happy to have her Forester for this kind of weather ..... :)

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

That's pretty good :nice: , but I'm betting you can do some bit better out there in Oklahoma .... .... maybe you can try it on a clearer, more dry day :) , when you aren't pushing water out from under the tires?

    05 Mustang Shifter Part Needed

You are very welcome Sir ...... that's kind of how I looked at it.

    05 Mustang Shifter Part Needed

It's a piece that is reused when changing shifters .... but it would be so very very easy to make one from a few simple measurements, a vice, a piece of steel about 13/16" wide and say .... 1/8" thick and less than 8" long, add 4 bends, two holes, done. Maybe someone will make a few...

    2005 Gt Transmission Issue

There is only one external "link" from shifter to transmission, it has bushings in the ends, could be they are missing. The Hurst itself, like other shifters for that car, consist of a stick with a ball near the bottom that rides in a round socket in the mount. I doubt that's the problem...

    Perell P Zero Tread Life

I mostly just ride, occasionally maybe accelerate hard, maybe take a ramp quick, but generally just ride. As well as they seem to be wearing, I expect they are hard enough to be "not the stickiest" of tires, neither above or below 70 degrees. They are a fair "OEM" tire I think .... enough...

    Guys/gals With 3.7l Mustangs

Nothing dumb about it that I saw .... the V-6s run rather well ..... and are a popular base for mods.

Here's a couple of late: It was a solid DCAR 08 GT when we got it in June, we added stripes, lowered rear, few mods not seen, and we just enjoy the ride ...... :)

    Guys/gals With 3.7l Mustangs

Can't help with all your questions except to say a buddy at work and his wife just love their V-6 Mustang ..... but theirs is an auto. He has a few mods, it does seem to scoot well enough. It costs no more to fill up when ever the gage hits 1/2 tank ..... or even fill up at last fuel stop...

    Must See This Clutch!

I had a '65 GTO for awhile back in the mid '70s, had a nice built 69 400 motor, Hays steel flywheel (40 lb), Lakewood bell housing, Muncie M-22, 4.10s ..... and one night it was fine in 1-2 and ok in 2-3 and when I pulled 4th, rpms shot up and I let off and realized clutch was gone ..... we...

2015+ Front End Uncovered, For Real

I see the 2014 as an extension ..... a further step ..... started with the 2005 model restyle ..... which very neatly captured design elements from the 65-68 Mustangs and as the 69-70s evolved from those earlier models, so has the newest Mustangs evolved from the '05s. I don't see any...

2015+ Front End Uncovered, For Real

Chevy stylist missed it far enough that I wonder if they knew what an early Camaro looked like .... IMHO .... it's no where close. :)

    Racing And Reckless Endangerment

I've had some experience ..... in the writing end, here in Va., over the years in my prior career ..... and it was not at all uncommon for people to get a ticket or more and not see insurance go up because there was no lapse in coverage or no wrecks ..... but I also know that often whet...
