10 out of 10 times its the egr or the dpfe sensor. I went through the same crap on my 96 every thing read fine but ran like crud. also check the red and green hoses coming off the dpfe sensor the could possibly be clogged like mine were....... just put some rubber hoses on them in place an see...

HI : the hose closes to the fire wall REF: the hose closes to the plenum or the intake. one hose should be bigger in diameter to the other. also a great upgrade is to get the aftermarket one its plastic. but have to remember gas fumes go through this and cause build up over time bc its metal...
