    Bolt on hood scoop

I used a bolt on scoop just like shakin's. Bolted it on, bonded it down and reinforced it with extra epoxcy(sp) on the inside. The paint still cracked in the front corners......:notnice:

    flex a Form fiberglass springs

Hmmmm...........no wheel hop? I wonder why you don't and cov3r does. I didn't think staggering the shock locations would stop the hop but maybe it does. Anyone else have a set of FAF's?

    flex a Form fiberglass springs

It's second hand info because I don't have a set on a car and neither did the the guy on the telephone.:nice: He could have been a total idiot for all I know..... I'm not trying to talk anyone out of a set of these. I'd like to have a set myself. Just relaying the info that I was told...

    flex a Form fiberglass springs

I looked into a set 2 years ago and the rep at FAF talked me out of set. He warned me that stick cars making decent hp WILL have wheel hop. FAF springs need to be used with cal tracks to eliminate the wheel hop. At $400 for the springs and $300 for the cals plus shipping, I decided not to buy...

iPod, amp, speakers, and maybe sub... But which amp?

i can get some pics tonight if you want. I'm running a 200Watt amp with 2 6x9 full range JVC speakers, it cranks it out pretty good, my antenna likes to vibrate...... 2 6x9s will make plenty of sound with an amp. They will actualy throw some half way decent bass if you mount them in a box...

iPod, amp, speakers, and maybe sub... But which amp?

Where are you getting your main power from? 130a is more then plenty for your system. Remember the battery only starts the car.....once it's running, the alt. should supply all power from then on........ Maybe check to see if you have a good ground..........

iPod, amp, speakers, and maybe sub... But which amp?

The best part of the whole deal is, when you cut a headphone jack and the RCA wires, their wired exactly the same, just solder and splice them together. Radio Shack sells one aready made for $6.

iPod, amp, speakers, and maybe sub... But which amp?

Profile AP1040 4-channel car amplifier 80 watts RMS x 4 at Crutchfield.com I have one of these powering the 4 infinitis in the doors of my trailblazer. Great budget amp. It will get real frigging loud. They have a 60w version also but I never turn my amps up over 3/4 of the way.

iPod, amp, speakers, and maybe sub... But which amp?

An amp is an amp..........Once you own an ipod, all you need is a cord with a headphone jack on one side and rca connnectors on the other. Plug the ipod directly into the amp. The volume on the ipod will control the volume of the amp. You can pick them up at radio shack. I had a set up in the...

    Flowmaster vs Magnaflow mufflers

I agree. I started with Flo-Pros(flomaster knock offs) 12 years ago and hated them. 2 years ago I switched to a set of Magnaflows and it was better but the car just didn't sound quite right.......... I didn't like 40 series Flomasters because they were going to be to loud and every car I...

    Bonehead

My ex-wife and I were living in the basement of friend's house while we were building ours. Needless to say, my escort gt needed to have the brakes done while we were there. No garage to work in, and all my tools were in storage. Not even a piece of concrete to work on. Anyways, after not...

    Bonehead

My previous employer really screwed me on a job one day. I drove the company box truck back to yell at him. I drove into the company parking lot so pissed off that I got out of the truck, still moving and left in gear. By the time I realized it, the truck was headed for the street and had a...

    Re-torque aluminum heads......

I've always been under the train of thought that pretty much anything aluminum needs a retorque. I redo heads, rims, intakes and even the aluminum water pump in the car. There is just no reason not to unless you use stretch head bolts. If you go back through it and everything is at the right...

    Proportioning Valve

Ok, I'm being a little slow....... I have a cobra set up on my 66 and I used a 94 cobra mc with an inline prop valve on the back brakes. The prop. valve is wide open and I still can't lock up the rears. My lines are run directly to the mc and this is a manual brake system. Is there a...
