The ticking sound mine makes seems like its coming from the shifter. Only under heavy acceleration. I can reduce the sound by gripping the shifter tighter or by pressing it against side of the shifter gate.

haha "Stock one" thats a joke I live in FL now. I tossed that thing as soon as I had it unbolted. Never would have though I'd want to go to CA. If I go I'm out the money to buy some cats.

same exact thing happened to me, I just put on a new multifunction switch cause that was bad then i noticed the dash lights weren't working. I've been lazy and haven't even checked fuses. I'm interested in hearing what it could be. Anyone?

hissin50 it seem that you were right. I went to Ford and reluctantly paid the $40 diagnosis fee only to find out it was the multifunction switch. I'll know for sure when i get a chance to put it in. Right now it time to prepare for Hurricane Charley. Thanks for the help.

Ok well I'm dealing with the original facotry wiring. I have not made any changes as far as adding or removing relays. where I am now is after testing the switch to see if that was my problem I have come to the conclusion that my headlight switch works properly, but the is something not working...

well good news not melted wires or a switch. I just noticed that my dimmer switch doesn't work is it possible the two are related. I checked all the wires and my problem seems to be between the red wire at the headlight switch to the headlight itself. I was able to jump directly from the switch...

I'm thinking this might be more than just a burnt out bulbs. I was about to drive home and the only way I could get my lights to work was by holding the high beams on. They wouldn't stay on I had to hold the turn signal lever to get the lights to stay on. Any ideas on what it might be?

I have a haynes for my 92, My friend's car is a 95. I haven't even gotten a chance to look at it myself I just wanted some advice on what to look for. and if it was an easy fix what I could do.
