    Aarrggghh!!

I have never bought off Phil. His prices are high. But I have sold a bunch of NOS stuff I had to him. And I sold high. So I can only imagine what he will mark some of those parts for. My only complaint and it really isn't a complaint is getting sniped by him on Ebay auctions. He either will do a...

    side scoops

My driver side is so far off there is no way it would look good. I want them to go flush with the end of the door gap. THe passenger scoop is perfect. THe driver scoop is a 1/4 back on top so I would have to add material. And the bottm danm near hits the door when it opens. So I would have to...

You can't use the re-issue. They changed from a spring loaded seal to a small cap inside. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2456027149&category=34204 I don't know if you will read this in time but here is one on Ebay ending in 2 hours. It's a $78. I paid almost...

    side scoops

No I haven't installed them yet. However I am sending htem back. I talked to them today. THe passenger side fits perfectly but the driverside is mis cut along the front. It is a 1/4" back on top and a 1/4" over on the bottom. So they arehaving UPS pick them up and sending me a new set with...

    trannie cooler

Running a tranny cooler is never a bad idea. Being a trans builder I can attest that heat kills transmissions. If you run any kind of stall I would run a large cooler and bypass the radiator. I usually use the newer style stacked cooler. They are harder to flush however but do a much better job...

I sits flat on the quarter panel but the filler tube goes throught it. So when you bolt the filler to the quarter the bolts also go through the base and hold it on. It is a perfect fit.

78CobraII: The paint on the car is new. When I got the car the paint job was brand new. The guy took spray paint however and painted the Mach 1 rocker banding and rear paint. It was orgionally blue with white cobra stripes. I installed the gas cap. It is a 71-73 Mach 1 pop-open gas cap. THey...

Yes they sit in the indentation. You through-bolt them to the quarter panel. I will try to get a good pic of them.

I need a new hood scoop, not sure what to get

Here is a pic of a Boss 429 scoop that came on my current car: http://www.superford.org/getfile.php?id=101431&toggle=fullsize&f=mustang IIprtss 004.jpg Even though I can't use it, I like the way it looks. Or you could just show it off. Get a Mr. Gasket single street scoop. Kind of like the...

    Head swap

Then go for it. Those heads are a vast improvment over the stock heads. For $200 rebuilt they are well worth the money.

The car came blacked out like that: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2451385582&category=6783 I got one awesome deal on the car. My friend who owns a body shop owes me a bunch of favors. I am having repaint the car the same color. Then I will stripe using...

    side scoops

The scoops are very heavy fiberglass. They have no flex at all. The part number is #X1032 01. But I am sure they will run out pretty quick.

    Head swap

I agree with Tim. They are a very decent factory head. They respond well to porting. It is hard to tell what kind of HP you will make. But on my last motor I was running a fully ported set of D0's and it pushed my 68 mustang into the 10's. That was with a basic 351w, 40 over, big lunati solid...

    side scoops

I don't think that would be much of a problem. As long as they are mounted securely. They are pretty heavy fiberglass. I guess if you were that worried you could drill some holes in the quarter. I have seen plenty of hood scoops on car that were open in the front and the air had nowhere to go...

    side scoops

They are open. Really unless you have some performance rear brakes you would not need them to be functional. But I guess if you were roadracing and had big disc's on the back you could do it. Otherwise I don't know why you would need them to be functional.

    side scoops

Just wanted to let anyone interested in side scoops. Mustangs Unlimited finally has them back in stock. I know they were on an 8 month back order. I just ordered them 2 days ago. They showed up today and look pretty good. Only thing is they screwed me out of the attaching hardware. I gave them a...

    Fibergalss bumpers

My goal is to make a mid 9 second car. So weight is an issue. The car will mainly be raced and just taken to shows. A 9 second car is barley streetable. But after some thought I am going to keep the bumper rebars. It will make it easier to mount. Now what product would I use to adhere the...
