The car ran great with the MAF conversion ever since I had it done a couple years ago. The tunes spot on and has never had a hiccup. The symptoms described above are fairly recent. As it sits, the only way to keep th ecar from stalling out right after it starts it to unplug the MAF (SCT Big Air...
Car: 88LX -Mass Air conversion (SCT BA 2400), H/C/I, Procharger.
Right before putting the car away last season I replaced the thermostat gasket after noticing a small puddle under the neck, cleaned the air filter and pulled the MAF and shot the vanes with electronic cleaner. After buttoning...

Terry,
Would it be possible to get a few pics to see what you have exactly? I'm just West of Detroit and in the market for 3" on the latest project.
Thanks,
Jake
I'm officially out of ideas as to what the 3 codes mean that I've been getting for the past year. I've put more hours into cleaning connections, checking vaccum lines, replacing sensors, than any sane person can handle.
The car ran great last year up until the tranny started to go south & I...
I did the same thing on my 94 Cobra & had the same problems. But, I found the fix & it worked great afterward. I'm assuming you cut/grinded the post up to the sample tube & took the thin metal plate off the back of the post. I did the same & the car would'nt stay running. Put the thin metal...
I had a similar problem over the summer which progressively got worse over time. Turned out to be my pilot bearing was shot & eventually worked its way out. The input shaft was vibrating in the hole where the pilot bearing used to be causing a nasty vibration up through my shifter handle. I...
I recently pulled the engine/trans (together) & swapped in a new T5 & SPEC clutch, to replace both failing parts. Everything went smoothly & the car now grabs & shifts better than new.
Except...
The car now feels sluggish in the mid range, & throws a CE light after about 10 minutes of...
I guess it's possible, but they ran the scanner twice. I think the O2 sends a rich signal, & the computer leans it out & vise versa. Thus throwing the codes. I just don't understand why, with a new O2 I would get these two codes.
I dented my drivers side O2 sensor while re-installing my engine w/trans on the firewall & decide to replace it with a Bosch stock replacement. The passenger side has less the 10,000 so I left it in. I now throw the above codes & can't figure it out for the life of me. My A/F gauge is hooked up...
Where exactly are you located? I've done a ton of exhaust swaps in my garage. I live over on the West side, near 275 & Michigan Ave. Shoot me an email, I'll do it for half the price of any shop you can find.

I put MAC longtubes on my 94 earlier this spring. I didn't have to jack the motor or take the starter out. It took a little work to slide them in, one side from the bottom (can't remember which side) the other from the top. The hardest part I found was getting all the bolts started with MAC's...
The P600b kit for my 94 Cobra comes stock with a blow off valve. The MAF is after the blower in a blow-thru configuration. The blow-off valve is located a few inches from the inlet of the intercooler, on the blower side. It's very audible, & can be heard over the loud exhaust, inbetween shifts.
I run the older issue (intercooled) Procharger P600b on my modded 94 Cobra, & have never had a problem. The blower has over 50,000 miles (with no rebuild) & has out lasted two of my previous engines. It currently runs on a new fully forged bottom end, & see's 12psi on a daily basis.
Here's a link to a picture I posted awhile back:

Nothing crazy, when I last dyno tuned, the car layed down 386rwhp & 411rwtq. Forged, low compression shortblock, 11psi, 2031, a laundry list of bolt-ons.
I have a bud that lives on Warren & Telegraph, & we cruise between Mich. Ave & Joy every now & then. Maybe twice this year so far. If weather permits, I'll probably head down there Saturday to see what's new.
I still spend a few hours under the car every Saturday getting the ride ready to...
Hey 87NOTCH, I'm over in the Plymouth/Canton area, & I'm running an intercooled P600B on my 94 Cobra. I've litterally put 35,000 miles on the unit, with zero problems. It's actually out lasted 2 prior engines. I have a short video clip from last week with it running on the car. Give me your...
My idler pulley started squealing on my sc bracket because of too much belt tension. After the squealing started, it totally gave out in less than 20 miles of normal driving. Check your belt tension & pulley alignment.
