    65 inner fenders

The fenders are bolted in at the bottom and against the firewall. The fenders are app 3/16" thick so I didn't add any extra bracing. Also they are tied in with the radiator support as well. So far, it's been holding there since 2005, and still no problems.

wheelhouse - How do you clean?

I've done several rotisserie restorations, tried just about everything to get that stuff off, and I've found a very quick and painless way. Compact Air Needle Scaler These things work great!! Hold the tool at about a 45 degree angle to the surface and scale away. That old undercoating...

    65 inner fenders

Yes, they will work, but call Martz and have the to NOT cut out where the suspension goes at bottom. You can cut this out yourself. I used the Martz inners with a Heidt's superride, and I love how it turned out. Be prepared, this is not for the novice. And you will have to fabricate hood...

    February Issue of Mustang Montly

Has anyone received their February issue of Mustang Monthly? Delta Heat, a 65 Fastback that I just recently finished is on the cover, and I'm about to die to see it. I don't know which picture they used for cover shot. Didn't come in the mail today, and the local Books A Million doesn't have...

    Convertible Top Frame Parts

    Convertible Top Frame Parts

Hey guys, anyone know where I can purchase the front part of a 68 Convertible top frame? The part that lays across the top of the windshield. I'm putting a new top on when I removed the old top, this part, made of aluminum, was corroded and pitted really bad. Or maybe if someone had a used...

    Inner fender question

Two of those big square holes on each fender is for the clearance of the push in hood bumpers. The bottom of the bumpers push thru the fender and stick thru the square hole. The bumpers stick out about a 1/4 inch or so. If you plan on using the bumpers, don't get rid of them.

66 Unisteer out tie rod (stupid question)

The shaft that the outer tie rod end threads onto 'spins' in the end of the rack. I get the toe set as close as I can get it by screwing the tie rod end on the shaft, the finally putting the tie rod end in the spindle and then using the shaft to actually fine tune it, then use the jam nut to...

Paint issue!! paint peeled when laying stripes

I recommend using House of Kolor's product, Intercoat clear, which is designed specifically for laying artwork/stripes on top of, then clear again with normal clear. Big difference in the intercoat clear is that it does not have any UV protection in it, so you can't use it as the topcoat clear.

    64 1/2 Electrical question

Hmm, after reading my post, I know of one thing I didn't check. I will see if the proper 1157 bulb is present. May be backfeeding thru a wrong bulb. The turn signal circuit should be on one filament, and the park lights on the other.

    64 1/2 Electrical question

Hey, just finished rewiring a 64.5 coupe, 260 w/ generator. When you turn on the "park" lights, the turn signal indicator lights up solid, and when u actually turn the turn signals on, it blinks like it should. This is a one bulb blinker indicator. When you pull the switch all the way out...

A real GT??? Will the real GT please step forward???

The car still has dual exhaust. I believe what happened was the car got the reinforcements for the exhaust by mistake. Now, being that the car has both of the exhaust reinforcements, and has the correct HCC-AX steering box, would this car be a candidate for conversion to a "legitimate" GT...

A real GT??? Will the real GT please step forward???

Sorry, typo on that sway bar, it has the 15/16 bar. Wow, thanks for all the info. Over the years, I've been pretty good at telling what was what on early mustangs, but this one has me stumped. So would I be correct in saying that the car probably left the factory as a GT, and somewhere...
