My 2000 GT has sat for around 8 years. Before I attempt to start it up, how can I make sure the engine isn't seized up and make sure I don't damage anything? I'm going to change the oil and replace the copper plugs before trying to start it, and inspect the cylinders at that time. Should I spray...

Since you have a 2000 model, you don't need to. The holes will be over the drain channels already.

Odo is fine, no blown fuses.. There is power going in and out of the inertia switch as well, so I can assume everything is fine up to at least that point I guess..

I had dumped glasspacks just for fun for a while, it was LOUD. you couldnt talk inside the car.. and this was with cats. at 45mph your teeth vibrated against each other.

Yes they'll fit, but *barely*. There is less than a 1/4" (not even enough room for a finger) gap from the caliper to the back of the spokes. On the other hand, with cobra wheels on a GT, the gap from caliper to spokes is enough for a whole hand. FYI, GT wheels are 17x8, Cobras are 17x9.

The 99 and 2000 GTs both have the T45 and 8 bolt flywheel (for all "windsor" engines), if it fit in his I dont see why it wouldnt fit in yours. However in 2001, they went to the TR3650 and back to 6bolt flywheels, so it may not fit 01+.

Disconnecting the battery should not kill the motor, it should continue to run off the voltage from the alternator. Your ignition switch IS ground out in some way, causing it to always be wired as if its in the "run" position. Fuel being forced into the engine isnt making it stay running...

what rotors are those? they look the same as the ones i got off ebay from irotors. the zinc plating where the pads dont touch is start to look flakey on mine, im in the middle of painting them high-temp gloss black now.. pics tomorrow.

Do you have a remote start or alarm system? It sounds as if one of the ignition switch wires is grounded out. I had this happen to me when I crossed some wires, I ended up with my ignition switch wired into my gauge lights... so the car wouldnt turn off until I turned the headlights off lol.

The switch is fine. I replaced those the fuse and after a few hours of driving around with the lights on the Parklamps fuse blew again. I was just cruising along this time, so I its not related to a voltage regulation problem like I thought from WOT. Any more ideas?

H&R SS, stock struts, camber bolts to bring into alignment (verts drop a bit more).

Not true, happened to mine still after being moved back. And my S281 brake light faded PINK in less than a year. I had to paint it black with transparent black model paint.

I dont think the lighting fuses/relays are in the CCRM. Fan, fuel pump and other major electronics are in there. Plus there's already high-amp fuses for the headlights in the other fuse box. edit: I found two blown fuses in the fusebox near the battery 9 - 20A* - Auxiliary Power...

I also just realized my fog lights and parking lights wont turn on. Ugh.
