or get a 96-98 headswap it and you have a little more power than the 99+. You can get them for cheap too. I am in the process of selling mine for 4500 and it already has the swap done plus gears and full exhuast. Surely there are more of them out there like mine.

if you go to 9 you might want to invest in some 30"s instead. Also watch out for that high compression unless u took care of that already

you need a new cap, talk to ford, or I have a set of caps and PI cams from my 99 heads left over that I can get ya cheap. I would imagine they are a pretty penny from ford not sure though. Just let me know what u need, I have the complete heads just sitting here and I am not going to use them...

get it leaned out some more. I am no expert but it sounds like your computer learned the new a/f ratio and adjusted for it

tapping only takes about 5 minutes tops. I did mine o n the thermostat housing and it works great. It takes I believe a 9/16 drill bit and a 3/8 NPT tap and you are done

any one have the parts list need to swap from 4.6 to 5.4 SOHC. Is the PCM needed and will our fuel system and coils work?

its the exhaust mine started it when I put the O/R on then the flows made it worse and I dumped mine last week. Its nothing, just tell them your motor i smaking so much power its bursting out the exhaust :rlaugh:

You would be the first I know off. My guess is mine are 2000 heads (windsor) yours are 01 (romeo)

yeah but mine did not go through the brackets and all very well and I have a very small leak right there, not enough to cause any concern but still I need to fix it later

Your old heads are 8mm the new bolts are 10mm. There is a kit you can buy from ford that has the right studs etc...PM 96mustangjames he just bought this kit maybe he has the part #. I just got some 10mm bolts to make mine work

Wow flamefest going on in here. I am no expert on the subject for sure, but should we not take into consideration the compression increase also giving some hp not the actual flow or porting of the head but the compression. With that said if you were to test the PI heads and the stock 98 heads...

I am also building a custom system behind the seat delete. My amps will be mounted to my box that the subs are in so I can take them out easily now to find a box that will fit 2 10's in the trunk:(
