    4.6 Reliability ????

OK thanks got some questions answered. Not to terrebly worried about the PI thing now as gas is so freak'n high and changes so often one of the local stations hired a guy just to change prices all day. Anyways I was trying to find out on the intake problem what years are prone to that? On the PI...

    Horn took a dump :(

Well if it sounds like a dying moose I would hazzard a guess its on its way out. I do like the bumper sticker idea though. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan and the horn on it sounded like a bunch of crickets. Not good when soccer mom is cutting you off. I put a 138 db air horn on it. It is small and...

    battery light on sometimes???

Hmmm I would say take the battery and car to like Autozone. They will do a free charging system check. I personaly dont think it's the batt but I could be wrong. Sounds more like you have a bad diode in the alternator. It works good cold and charges, but when you warm it up it "sticks" in the...

    4.6 Reliability ????

98Cobra281, you say the 96 is like 215 and 98 is 225hp. But one of the cars I'm looking at is a 96 with a 98 motor it will still be somewhere in the 215 range right? My reasoning is like if you say the more agressive timing etc, thats all done in the ECM. So if your still running the 96 ECM you...

    4.6 Reliability ????

Well have been a FOX body guy for awhile. I sold my last FOX about a year ago and have just recently started looking at Stangs agin off and on. I guess I feel like I should "update" and started looking in the SN94 and up group. Mostly have been looking at 96's as they seem to be in the price...

New Member Got Questions About Gears..

Well MR Boogy, you might brush up on a few more articles before you attack this. I have set up diffs for a living on race cars and street cars and you can be in trouble if not careful. I am not fully familiar with these diffs yet but they could alos have shims on the sides by the carrier...

Any ideas what would cause this? Vid included

My old 89 GT vert used to do something very simular to that. You would pull up to a light and push in the clutch and it would idle up and down, and like you said ocasionaly you thought it was going to quit. I never got it completly fixed, but I got it alot beter. I got an ohm meter and set the...

How to repair small tear in convertible top?

My old 89 GT had a top that started to get a couple of small tears by the bows. I bought some "marine" type glue/adheisve. It was made or right next to the "goop" type glues. Anyways like someone said I stiched up the tear while not rying to pull the thread thruogh and rip it again. Then I took...

    Convertible top not secure!

Yup thats why they are threaded. To take up a small amount of slack and wear. I would go easy on the turning though maybe 2 turns max. You want the handle to be tight just before it goes into the slot in the roof beam. Does that make sense? Should be sort of hard once it gets say an inch or so...

What kinda aftermarket shift knob you guys have

Shifter Knob I got an 89 gt vert and I put a UPR "pistol grip" on it. Yea I have heard the "its all metal and it get hot" deal. WAAA its a shifter handle not a hand hold. Put it in gear and hold on to the steering wheel. http://www.uprproducts.com/images/parts/all/Pistol_grip_Blue_MED.gif
