I have my door skin off & I just want to be able to lock it with a key, I dont care about replacing the actuator right now. I should be able to drill out the rivet & then remove it right? Then could I lock it with my key?

Mine froze & I want to be able to lock my door. I dont have the acuator nor do I care to put a new one in right now. So can I rip the old one out or disconnect it so I can manually lock my door with a key? :shrug: Thx guys

My friend wants to put in a new motor & tranny. I told him a newer 5.0 will fit in he just needs an intake manifold, carb & distributor. Maybe a fuel pump, too. Are their kits for this? How hard is it to do? Or should he just go with rebuilding his old setup (thats in bad shape). I hear a lot...

Sure the light may come on but it will not lock into the back of the light. The ring wont go over the blue part. junkyard seems like the only option. thx...

I bought one from auto zone that fit starge and was to big for the ring to go over. here is the same one from 5oresto: http://secure.50resto.com/product1.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=1101 Its not the same size as the original. The blue parts too big. Any ideas where to get a new one? junk yard...

Well my actuator froze so I need to fix it or at least be able to lock my door. I pulled the skin off a door a long time ago & have some idea how to do it. Do I need a special tool to get the clips out? I remember some of the panel was cardboard & I don't want to damage it. Also should I buy new...
