After doing some more messing with it, I'm convinced the quadrant is just shot, so I went a head and bought a Steeda double-hook quadrant and the Steeda FWA.

I just got my new tranny installed last night and hooked up the clutch cable. First time I went to push on the clutch pedal with my hand to test it out, it popped and hit the floor. My guess is it's probably just the stock quadrant being a piece of crap and will probably have to be replaced...

God damnit. I called every salvage yard near me and I got immediate "nope don't have any". A couple of them acted like they actually looked though and a couple told me they are "rare" and hard to find. :shrug:

So what the hell does it mean when every gear but 4th is whining loudly? 4th gear doesn't make a peep. Also, what are the difference between the V8 and 4 cylinder transmissions besides the different pilot bearing? Are they weaker or what?

Yes your low pressure switch is definitely bad. Mine cost me about $18 to replace. Not very expensive.

Well it's working again. I think it still may be a little low on refrigerant because it will kick on and off sometimes. I'll put some more in it and we'll see if it continues to keep working. Thanks for the help guys, I'll try some more stuff if it stops working for some reason.

Well it still doesn't work. Last night I noticed a blown A/C compressor fuse, so I replaced it with no luck. Today I tried the A/C and it was working for quite awhile and just quit working again. I jumped the wires for the relay and nothing. The relay is working fine, the low pressure switch...

So I want to jump from Red to Orange/Light Blue and from Pink/Light Blue to Black/Yellow.

So is there a way I could go about jumping that relay to see if it's the problem?
