I just got my order from Gefracing, and it kind of looks like my timing chains, for my headswap, may be too short. Would it be possible for anyone to tell me the length of the chains? A part number would be nice too :nice:

99-00' have a different bolt pattern than the 01'-up heads. So if you have 99-00' heads, you need the oil filler on the passenger side (windsor). 01'-up need the filler on the drivers side (Romeo). On 01'-up heads, you can use your stock covers. :nice:

I'm just getting the last of the parts rounded up for my headswap...Finally :banana: I had decided to go with the VT wild n/a cams, but something just occured to me, because of the pistons being different on the 96-98', will I have piston to valve contact?? Has anyone with a headswap ran those...

With stock heads and cams, about 45-55.

Last thursday I was driving by a place that tests driveshafts and I noticed on the test track there was a '05 mustang Gt!! I about crashed when I saw it. It looked just like the one in those pictures, but it had alot of sensors mounted on the sides. It looked like they were testing 0-60, because...

The cams are different. They are setup with more low end torque for towing applications.

I think they actually got them in late '98.

If it were me, I would call around and and try to get the most wild cam I could find. I think you should look into VT mild cams. They are 540/.550, 224/226, 110/110. Just call VT and ask if they would work for your application :nice: The number is 519-245-1164 or visit their website at...

The stock pi cams are .505/.534-inch lift and they will work just fine. I'm pretty sure that the stock '98 pistons will handle a .550 lift. Pm VTEngine or VTEngines, one of those guys should be able to answer your question :nice: ......When you find out, let me know :banana:
