    Hello All!

The 302 HO has a different firing order than the older 289/302 small blocks. Regardless of which block it is, make sure that your distributer firing order matches the cam timing. Also make sure that there is no vacuum leak inside your distributer advance diaphram. Both of these happened to me.

    Mustang II in Zookeeper movie

Saw the movie tonight, not bad, a few good laughs. Not anything as funny as Dr. Doolittle with Eddy Murphy. The CobraII in it was a black '78, with the big Cobra on the hood, jacked up rearend. I think i saw the car on Ebay last year.

Help me identify these two holes / bolts on intake manifold.

I am going to guess here, the backside hole is for the clamp that holds the tranny vacuum line, and the front is for the coil clamp. Let me know if i'm wrong or right.

    Compression question

I was told that you could pretty much tell what a motor's compression ratio is by the numbers you get during a compression check. Is there a rule of thumb, or formula on this? I'm trying to determine which octane I should be using, got a small amount of clatter under load.

    75 help

To check for jumped timing belt, remove valve cover and number one spark plug. Rotate engine by hand until the piston is at top dead center. you can use a flashlight to see it, or a straight coat hanger to feel it. At this point both of the number one rocker arms should be unloaded, meaning...

    75 help

Attach the linkage so that the throttle plates open when the linkage arm pulls. The accelerator arm or cable pulls the throttle plates inside the carb to an open position. In your case, the plates are being closed when the cable or arm is pulled, and wide open when at rest. This will be...

got some new wheels, thought id share pics

Nice wheels, but are those scuff marks on the outside of the rear tires? If they are, your rear fenderwells might need to be "rolled" out of the way. An old trick to roll them is to use a baseball bat to bend them, using the tire for leverage.

    75 help

Try adding an equal length lever on the other side if you want to keep the Weber. But it's not too hard to rebuild the original carb. And I have also seen them on ebay.

    75 help

I have one question , did you check the bulbs in the panel? Also, you don't have to remove the whole instrument panel for access. remove only the dashpad and top panel, you will be surprised at how much you can get to that way.

    AOD installed!

This AOD swap was a lot of time, effort and ingenuity, and a few bucks too! You would be be better off replacing or rebuilding the C4, unless you have the skills, time. and money.

    cowl area

If you look waaaay up in the upper corner of the fenderwell, after you remove the inner plastic fender, you will find an opening that you can stick a small diameter vacuum hose into.
