I've swapped a 88' turbocoupe engine into my 83' mustang coupe. Now comes wiring it. I have the complete car for parts. What should I use from the parts car? Is there any easy way to wire this engine up. Should I use part of the turbo coupe wiring? Any help or links would be apreciated...

    Aluminum driveshaft Whats the deal?

I don't think you would gain squat for fuel economy... As for carbon fibre, thats another part for weight saving only...If you read in the above link from that shop selling custom shafts, the guy says that carbon fibre driveshafts are pressed together with glue. Glue? Thats what I was...

    Aluminum driveshaft Whats the deal?

I'm still not convinced about the aluminum driveshaft. I'm thinking they are mass produced and probably not much stronger than the stock one. Just lighter.... So how long will my stock driveshaft hold out? Stroker engine making 300-400hp plus a 100-200 shot of nos? Hmmmmmm...

    Aluminum driveshaft Whats the deal?

So whats the big deal with an aluminum driveshaft? Weight saving is the obvious reason. But are they stronger? I presume they use the same u-joint as a stock driveshaft? So other than a lighter driveshaft, what am I gaining by spending $300 on one? Also which brand to go with? Has anyone...

    Finally tubular/coilovers are in.

I bought the tubular setup for weight savings and because of clearance issues. I am going to drive it on the street but I'm mainly building it for 1/4 mile drag racing. I'm running a nos powered large stroked 351 windsor. Bennett racing built 2.08/1.6 Aluminum heads with 2" primary kooks long...

    Finally tubular/coilovers are in.

Its been a long pause in progress with the stang. The 83' has been sitting on jackstands for just too long with no front suspension. I finally ordered the last and final pieces of my front end. I ordered a D&D coil over kit with Qa1 -175lb and 150lb springs. I installed the 175's for now...

    Bad luck with Moroso studs..

Installed some 3" Moroso race studs so I could mount my new draglites. I'm all done the stud swap, get the drivers side done then around to the passenger rear wheel and 3 fu$&#@# studs snap off inside my new lug nuts. What a bunch of B.S! You pay good money for these so called "racing parts" and...

Fox now has lighter font end..

    Holley blue Electric pump Question?

Answered my own questions on www.holley.com I guess a holley blue doesn't really need a return line. A carbed street/strip motor requires 6-8 psi... Any more and the needles won't seal and flooding will occur. The pump needs to be mounted low and near the tank. The regulator needs to be as...

    Holley blue Electric pump Question?

I have a carbed sbf in my stang. I'm installing a electric Holley blue pump. The original mechanical pump uses a large feed line to the pump and then a smaller return line back to the tank. Do I install the pump in the large feed line and just cap off the return line? Does a electric pump...
