thinking about buyin an svo but have a few questions.

www.svoca.com and www.turboford.org are your 2 best bets for info. As a daily driver I would have to recommend no for an SVO as I would for any 20 year old car. Also as with any 20 year old car you can't get most parts from the dealer no matter what model it is. They are tempermental as far as...

You know the saying "There is no such thing as a dumb question" ? Well from now on that saying is null and void. This is by far the dumbest freakin' question I ever heard. If you truly love a person (not material items) you wouldn't give them up for any amount of money, power or any other...

    HUGE fuel rail problem

Just make sure the fuel rail you get is the same one you need. There are many different ones between the turbo cars and the na's. Let us know if it is for the 90 you have listed in your sig and if no one has one there are always at least 10 na's in the yard I go to.

Things could not get any worse....spoke to soon

The damn insurance companies do this crap all the time. how do you identify

As far as identifying a tranny, this explains it. http://www.5speeds.com/t5/ I doubt you can find a "new" tranny for a 4 cyl. but I may be wrong. Just have yours rebuilt by a professional. If you really want to learn how to do it, buy a used one and rebuilt it yourself and then replace yours...

    5.7 Chevy rod in a 2.3?

The econo way of doing it is to use actual stock 5.7 six cylinder rods. They have to be machined in width to fit our cranks. However they aren't that strong. It's best to go with a 4340 rod. You will also need pistons specifically for a 5.7 rod . Race Engineering www.raceeng.com is your best...

    tranny problem

The tranny fluid after being in tehre for a while will look like a redish brown color. There is a plug on the side of the tranny that you take out and you fill the tranny till the fluid comes out. Unless you have a serious leak there is no where for the fluid to go. Sounds like syncros which is...

    2.3 turbo-2.3 SVO clone?

$1,500 is waaay too much. I think you better give me this guy's name, address and phone number so I can tell him personally. :D That is a good price, however the 84GT turbo only had 145 horsepower. But with some minor mods you can get some better numbers out of it. For the most info go to...
