First pull a wire from a different cylinder, use the same plug, results? Still no? Use the different wire and a different plug, results? Take off your cap and rotor and check the condition? If that dont work, I would assume it would have to be the distributor.

Man if I just got done battling a overheating problem myself. Replaced the whole cooling system and rebuilt the top half of my motor to find out I still had a cooling problem. I would go rent a cooling system pressure tester from oriellys or auto zone for like a $100 bucks and just take it back...

Conclusion- it ended up being my header gasket. A few of the bolts came a little loose so i tighted them back up not knowing the gasket was ****ed. It had a bunch of little holes in it. But replaced it and solved the ticking noise. Thanks Stangnet
