    extreme hesitation

My 351 is only a short block so I'm thinking about getting rid of it and going with a supercharged 5.4 and using a t-56 transmission so that it can be a bit easier to drive than the beastly big bore engines ;)

    extreme hesitation

Do you have a humming sound coming from the transmission tunnel? It won't consistently be there, but it'll definitely come and go. It sort of sounds like the fuel pump. Just in the front of the car. If this is the case, your transmission pump is on its way out. This is what's wrong with my...

    gee nice to know...

Like '66 said, there arent many people here who know a lot of technical stuff since this forum is basically just a gear/exhaust/cai discussion board. A lot of the V6 folks who were really into fixing up the 3.8 moved on to other sites. So if you want to know about gears, exhaust, or which cai...

I've also tried to google the tool. "low side service port removal tool" hasn't yielded any good information

    A/C Trouble

Figured I'd bump this up. Every time I go to a parts store and ask for a low side service port removal tool, I get a deer lost in headlights look. I got the valve replacement kit from AutoZone, but it only comes with 2 valves and 2 caps.

    Replace A/C Valve

We've only got an Advanced Auto and AutoZone in town, and I can't even find the valve cores on AutoZone's site. I went to Advanced Auto and the guy wasn't sure which part I'd need so... :bang: While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com Any of you guys...

    new rims

If you want 10.5s in the back, get them. There's nothing wrong with staggered sizes. I think it looks cool. As soon as my nittos wear down, I'm getting saleens with 10.5s in the rear. *shrug*

There's a chart somewhere that shows the V6 and GT springs are the same.

    exhaust help...

V6s are always going to have a bit of a ricer-ish sound to it. That's due to an even firing order. I have magnaflows and the sound isnt too obnoxious.

    Our Oil Situation

I guess I would have to answer your question with another question. How do you know it wouldn't harm the polar bears? I wasn't alive when the pipeline was built. We just need to get off oil period. The earth doesn't have an unlimit supply of it. It's going to eventually run out someday...

    Our Oil Situation

As far as drilling in Alaska goes (comments about polar bears), there is only about 100 days or so worth of oil in that area. That's the hang-up with that area. It's hard to jusitfy such a potential environmental disaster for just 3-4 months worth of cheaper gas prices. If people want to see...

    Stock Ride Height

Anyone happen to know the stock height (ground to fender lip) of these cars? I've had a few people ask me how much lower my car is, but since I have the mm coil overs, I just adjusted the height until I liked how the car sat and never measured the stock height. EDIT: If you're measuring your...

    A/C Trouble

I charged my A/C this morning. When I turned the car off, every bit of refridgerant in the system sprayed out the low side fitting. Is it possible to change this fitting? Or is this an indication of a problem with the a/c system?
