    255/50/17 fit?

Those look nice Adrenal.. Only thing I don't like about the new Stang is the 235/55 tires... that's the way to go if you don't want to buy new rims..which I don't. I love those stock rims you have .

    255/50/17 fit?

Great thanks. I thought 255/50/17 is very very close to the stock tire sidewall height, but it's good to know the extra width clears everything in the front fine.. When I get the new Stangy, that will be my first mod on the stock rims.

I was wondering if anybody with the 05 has fit 255/50/17 tires on the stock rims --and if there were clearance problems on the front?

    air intake

Yes- I think you are right, in that the *average* smog tech would not notice an aftermarket plenum. But I did not want to chance having to change it out with the stocker...just me though.. I sacrificed some cfm flow for a my own "no worry" point of view, but I do not go the the track, so...

    air intake

I went with the Granatelli Maf, it is a rebadged PRO-M- but I think they do their own electronics. It comes with the new sensor on top, with remapped fuel curve. It is 80mm, without the restriction in the center. I felt an sotp difference with the Granatelli, and then put on an FRPP 70mm tb...

    Anyone tried the superchips microtuner?

superchips I have wondered about that also. I asked Hypertech and they said their tuning is felt 75% throttle to WOT. I think they said it is against Fed regulations to change the program tuning in cruising part throttle situations. Superchips does claim on their website that they do...

    Better exhaust note for cheap?

the FRPP catback is 2.5 in mandrel bent, the mufflers are just a bit louder, throatier than the stock sound, but similar. Just a bit louder than stock at normal cruising, as quiet as stock at idle, but sound great when you get on the pedal hard. They are a different part number and are...

    Mobil 1 0w-20

Yes, 5w-20 is the correct grade in the owner's manual. But Mobil 1 only has a 0w-20 and states that it is for Fords..

    Mobil 1 0w-20

I was told by a local shop, use Mobil 1 0w-20 for warranty reasons. He said that with 5w-30, Ford could blame any engine problems on not using the recommended grade oil (5w-20 for my 01) Don't know if they really could get away with that..? but I am using it.
