Seriously.... Mill the head down to make the rocker fit...? Although it would theoretically work, since each rocker is independent and could potentially use a different height shim... you would probably be better using a different length pushrod... Besides... why pull the head and go through...

How did you re-mount the headrest piece (whatever you call it)... also... could you take some more pictures from behind and in front... I think I'm ready to take this challenge on next week.. so I can mount my amps and get my stereo back!!!

Last combo was a set of GT40P's from Central Coast Mustang (no port work)... They had stainless valves and upgraded springs. If I remember correctly, my buddy polished the intake side and opened it up to give a better match to the 1250 felpro gaskets...but that probably did absolutely nothing...

Why didn't my combo ever make this list...? ported P's, custom cam, edel rpm, 24's, C&L 76, MAC LT's, Dr Gas, Bassani BX :) Oh yeah... 310 (maybe 312rwhp?) 315tq.

I posted my dyno sheet a long time ago... 312rwhp and 318rwtq... or something really close... And yes, the car has plenty of torque... The head porting and cam changed resulted in 40rwhp gain and 10 rwtq... On street tires I dropped over half second over my best time... so I know the car...

MAC makes them for 94/95...

Try replacing the plug wires.. I had a similar problem, that included the erradic tach, and the wires cured it.

Please don't put an out of date Ford alphabet cam in your car. If you wanna make a decent setup, get heads with chambers that will give you at least 10:1 compression.. AFR's, TW's, ect.. Then get a custom cam from Ed, Jay, or Buddy... Lastly.. step up to an Edel RPM intake... Call up Ed...

I use a guy in San Dimas that I trust for the basic machine work, valve train setup ect. He's a straight foward guy, and is very reasonable. His shop is a small hole in the wall called Competition Auto Machine. Its a one man show, and you're eyes will bulge when you see how many old blocks...

The springs that are stock on GT40P heads are for low lift explorer cams... somewhere in the .440" lift range.. I wouldn't even bother reusing them. I would order the trickflow kit from summit, which comes with springs, shims,seals, and then have your machine shop take a look at the heads...

My GT40P heads were drilled for the Thermactor hookups on the back of the heads, so all the stock equipment fit perfect... Well, that was a while ago when my car still had smog equipment.. ;)

I would look for an Edelbrock RPM intake.... You can sell the cobra for the same price as getting a used Edel... Also.. numbers are about 40 hp low...

I'll just use the 93 Cobra set I bought from 50resto... They are almost identical to the SN95 mats... so nobody will no the difference.
