Suspected intake crak but I'm not sure.

It's about once a week I have to add about a half gallon. I don't drive the car a lot i the big picture, only around town and no highway driving.

Suspected intake crak but I'm not sure.

I guess it all comes down to when it completley fails though I don't want to keep driving the car in it's current state. What if it let's go at a crowded intersection!

Suspected intake crak but I'm not sure.

Well, I'm going to wait as long as I can because of money but if the car has to come apart I should do it right and go PI. Anything else is just dumb. I had the throw out bearing replaced not too long ago and while it was apart I had the clutch and everything else that could go wrong in that...

Suspected intake crak but I'm not sure.

I plan on keeping the car for at least three more years. While it is all apart it would be best to do the PI intake.

Suspected intake crak but I'm not sure.

Search: I have the letter. Git: I haven't detected it in the oil but all of the sudden my car leaks oil. This just started this weekend. I recently had the throwout bearing and clutch done though. I'm not sure if that is related but it was done two weeks ago.

The level slowly goes down and it looks clean. The low coolant light may come on once every two weeks.

    AIC trouble

I must have lucked out and bought the gentile kind as I've had no issues due to spraying it. This a part I've been meaning to replace. The problem is that once I've sprayed it, and it works, I forget about it!

    AIC trouble

Take it off and spray carb cleaner in it. This only works for so long but it has for me, twice.

    PATS or PATS II

One other idea- I was reading a thread where someone was asking about getting in to the repo business. Someone who worked at a dealership mentioned how they cut new keys all the time for this reason. Have you VIN handy and call the service department. Call asking for a price for a new key. After...

Git it: I'll look at that. Everything seemed to be correct yesterday but who knows? Jinx: I've got two kids. One is a new born. I've got no mod money!

    PATS or PATS II

What does your key look like? Mine reads "PATS" and on the other side has what appears to be an identifier code. I suspect that code is the key to figuring out which you have. Another item that may help is the build date of your car. Mine was born in 04/98. Hope this helps.

    What to do?

I don't see harm in changing the fuel filter at this point. It probably doesn't need it though.

Serpentine belt shredded. Can I get it to the shop?

I considered that. The "SilverHorse", and I will be spending some bonding time this weekend for the plugs and wires. During that time I'll do what you suggested. If the alternator is bad I'll replace it myself. Now that I now how to deal with that belt I have no fear!

Weird noise comming from the stang...

Control arms or rack bushings? My '98 GT did that when I would make left turns while stopping. Not so much a popping sound but metal clanking kind of thing. I believe it was the rack bushings my mechanic replaced and the noice stopped after that.
