I have a 97 cobra, and I can't disable the alarm by using the key on the drivers side door. I have to unlock my car from the passenger side, or the alarm will go off. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

with the JLT you can't run a strut tower brace tho...can you with the steeda, or another brand?

I am beginning to get some paint fade on the bumpers of my 97. it's like there are white splotches in the paint. the car is black. does anyone have any ideas on how to touch these spots up, just so it doesn't look so bad? It looks pretty bad now, and really takes away from the car.

I checked the drivers side, and everything seemed to be in order. I do have a leak right by the little speaker though. I would think it would affect all of the buttons though. what # fuse are the windows? I don't have my shop manual here.

I'll have to get a test light and try that. does the wires that lead to the motor go directly to the drivers side door switch? maybe its a connection there?

for two days the passenger side window went down only around midnight when I was comin home from work, but not during the day. now it doesn't work at all. I took apart the door, but couldn't access the motor. I'd have to take the sheetmetal apart. I checked all the plugs and they were solid...

how do you determine which stage to go for? for example would a stage two be too much for a hot street setup? or would it be overkill? any help would be appreciated.

I would check into some of the other guys around here with a p&p headswap and cams and boltons. a few of them are around 290, some higher. *edit* I don't know about e.t.'s though. that depends on you!

I have the BBK specific rate springs.(not in the car yet) they are supposed to drop the car 1.5 inches. after doing a little more research I decided I want a two inch drop. How much should I cut off to get this extra .5 inch? and, two double check, it's OK to cut specific rate springs...

my 97 still has the original battery! I made it into a maintenance battery by popping the tops off and refilling it with water. I've been looking to get an optima redtop though. $$

maybe its different with verts, but other then my left knee I have no problem, and i'm 6-7. I have yet to do that mustangworld mod, but intend to.

the clip of the black new edge is unbelievable. freakin loud!!! I guess thats cause they are dumped that makes them louder then other clips. It sounded alot louder at idle then the other clips-or is it just a better quality/more accurate clip?
