    351W Foxbody?

    Thankyou :)

    351W Foxbody?

Problem is I dont exactly want to pay 2000 shipped for a block, and then machine it (Another $1000) and then put forger internals in there. That's probably going to rack up a nice 5000 bill. I'm not entirely sure what needs to be machined, is it just the pistons routes? So really what it comes...

    351W Foxbody?

I've been searching and still can't find out the power tolerances for the block, crank, rods or pistons. I've got a guy selling a block with TRW forged dished pistons (Dont know the CR). From everything I've read the stock setup is good for 600whp, at that point something inside the block gives...

    351W Foxbody?

What exactly is needed to this, go from either a LX or a GT (I'm not sure if going from a 4 cyl would be worth it, but there are a lot more of them) to a 351. Of course I would need the block, the headers and exhaust back. I know a lot of the heads can be used, but what about Intake Manifold? I...

    Which car?

Nevermind, I found out. But yes, I would do heads cams and intakes before the unit went on

    Which car?

I'm not exactly sure what h/c/i is. Is that just a larger displacement motor, or a stroker motor?

    Which car?

Nah, I'm really not a nitrous junkie at all. I dunno why, never made much logic to me.

    Which car?

Well, I have this problem called boost addiction. So I really do plan on going blown or turbo. Really not sure which, both have pros and cons. How leniant is the ECU on the Foxbody, or would it be worth my time to just upgrade to a DFI system? That's another 2k installed, on top of all of that...

    Which car?

Well, a blower is far from cheap. I would probably need to go up to at least 36 lb injectors, which I'm not sure if the ECU could handle that or not (Are they low or high impendance?). And the truth being I would want an intercooler, that's where the price is going to jump. But I suppose I could...

    Which car?

Well, in terms of a stronger block what are my choices? As long as it's at least a 302 I'll be cool with it

    Which car?

Really, I'd like to get a Rolling Chassy, and a block. But I don't want a stock 302 block, I would like something stronger like a R302 or a 351 block. But I am unaware of anywhere I can get just a block, maybe with low compressoin pistons but I'm not sure of the power I can make without a s/c.

    Which car?

Well, how fast can the Foxbody with a 302 get Naturally Aspirated without breaking the block open to change the pistons and rods out for forged? I see a lot of 500whp Stangs, but they're all blown for the most part. I do plan on doing a "wee" of weight reduction hehe.

    Which car?

See, that's one thing. I don't want something you see every day, but I really don't have loads of money to blow. So, the Mustang Foxbody is one of my favorite cars in reality, and it's probably what I'm going to use. I'm probably going to end up using a 302 though, I dont see much point in going...

OK Mustang Geniuses, need smartest guys to take a look at my mess

He never said you had a 25 dollar chain, he was just using that as an example

    Which car?

Well, so far the Mustang is still my prime choice. The Nissan is much easier to purchase initially though. A Foxbody in bad shape and high mileage is still 2000, where as a Nissan with good body and high mileage is 1500. But man 1.3g would make me piss my pants

    Which car?

Why would you do a Nissan? I never knew the Foxbody responded to modification that well. I mainly only researched the 94/95 GT's, but since this will not be a daily driver I wanted to go with the vehicle I believe is built to perform better. Is it mainly the ECU that changes how well the motor...

    Which car?

Well, with the Camaro I would probably not use a stock 305. I never knew the Mustang would be easier to modify. Really, the Nissan will break into the 11's thn wall at 11.5 probably. But NA how easy is a Fox to break 12?
  19. X

    Which car?

Well, mainly the car will be used more straight line. That's where the Camaro probably beats anything. But the 240 will handle the best more than likely, and be the slowest in the straight aways. The Mustang will be the middle of both worlds IMO

    Which car?

Alright, I'm going between three cars as my project/toy. One car is a Nissan 240sx, with a SR20DET powerplant, they have some really nice potential, but very little displacement. But that turbo does make up for it. The second car is a Mustang GT Foxbody, probably with a 302/306, maybe a 351. The...
