    GT500 LCA's on a GT

    I have a BMR UCA mount which has 2 position holes for changing instant center and a J&M poly-ball UCA. I'm using the lower position on the mount. This combination with stock GT500 LCA's has stopped the hop. Much better hook-up. The front end actually lifts during acceleration now.

    I installed a Steeda UCA. I wasn't happy with the noise and vibration transmitted by their urethane bushing setup. Got a J&M UCA - much better. And looking at the two parts, I would bet they are made by the same people. Since J&M is a manufacturing house, I suspect J&M makes the steeda part too.

    Traction? or should I say lack there of

    My traction problems started when I put the 3.90 gear and aluminum flywheel in my '05 GT. Now that I have exchanged the '05 for an '08 GT500 the lack of traction has gotten MUCH worse. Please tell me how I can drive better.

    Pinion Angle help

    The whole idea of setting pinion angle is to get the U-joints operating at the same deflection angle. Measurilng the bellhousing angle has nothing to do with the driveshaft angle. I think you need to start over using the front section driveshaft angle vs. the pinion angle.

    The Goodyear F1 tires seem to be EXTREMELY sensitive to temperature. I have noticed traction trouble when either the pavement temp or the tire temp is low. Tire hookup doesn't seem to be predictable in the first 2 gears. Anyone usilng ET Steet radials for everyday use?

    The Fidenza aluminum flywheel that I bought has a bolted on steel friction plate for clutch contact. It should wear as well as the steel unit at 1/3 the weight.
