Steeda X2 ball joint and bumpsteer install

to remove the ball joint you need a ball joint tool. It is basically a big C-clamp with some spacers to press it out, cost 40$. To install the ball joints you need a press, cause you can't get them in with just a vise. I did this last week, it wasn't that hard but time consuming, took some...

    boost and traction

that popping you heard is your engine detonating. You where hard on the boost when the fuel system cut out 'cause of the traction control. If your engine is still running fine don't worry about it. The next time you change your sparkplugs take a close look. Sometimes detonation causes plugs...

Does the k-member need to be dropped to install jba's

I have had my jba's on and off three times without dropping the k-member. Don't even mess with the k. Get some gear wrenches. Ya know the openend wrenches with other end that ratchets. Those make the job soooooo much easier.

    G-Tech?

I have one and I think it works just fine. It sounds like people have problems with the mph being off. To fix that you just have to change the weight of the car setting. A far as leveling goes it is not that hard at all. Maybe on the old one it was hard. Just follow the arrows that are on...

    Calling nitrous experts (very technical)

The fuel pump should not affect the amount of fuel that is dumped into the motor because the injectors do that. The job of the fuel pump is to maintain constant fuel preasure. Now you could turn up the fuel preasure, but that would be in the fmu(fuel management unit). Which in my blown mustang...

    Calling nitrous experts (very technical)

ok dude I don't have a dry kit but I have experience with wet nitrous. First and MOST important, bottle temp, what effects bottle preasure is the most critical part of nitrous. If the bottle is too cold you will run "nitrous" rich, If the bottle is hot you will run "nitrous" lean. I would...

    race harnesses

I live in Ca just like subesports. Ground shipping for me was like 60 bucks, but that was for the seats, belts, brackets, everything. Belts only, anywhere in the us should not be more than 12 bucks. Check out their website and give them a call they are super cool. lates

They come in black with gray writing. I thought I wanted 3" too but when I got them they are plenty wide. You'll love 'em dude.

    race harnesses

I have the schroth 4pts too, got from subesports.com. I have Cobra daytona seats but you can get a decent recaro for 400. Don't by a fixed position seat either, get something adjustable. Plan on buying the seat bracket and sliders as well. As far as mounting goes, I mounted the upper harness...

lost my lug nut key HELP!

well man here is the deal, hopefully your lugs require a socket that is female, meaning that it fits over the entire lug nut. With that being the case you can use a socket that is a hair to small and beat it on there with a 3lb sledge. You may have to sacrifice a socket so make sure it is...

    18x10 Rims...

I run 295's on my 18's. I dooubt you can fit any narrower. I assume that your car is blown. With 265 you can forget hooking up. I roast them all though first and second easy with stock gears. You'll need more meat in back!

help installing shorty headers: should I drop the k member?

I've had my jba's on and off three times without dropping the k. I thought about those stage 8 deals but there is no way your going to get all the clips on, there is just not enough space to get pliers in there. I would choose not installing the stage 8's over dropping the k. If you ever need...

Max Motorsports Road & Track box? + torque arm?

I don't run in any class yet. I am in a tent in Iraq just waiting to get home to wrench/ race the stang. Are there particular mods that permit you from running a certain class? Do you have any contact info on the rules, tech inspections and whatever I need to get started?

Max Motorsports Road & Track box? + torque arm?

thanks for the feedback man, greatly appreciated. On the m&m website it says that with the torque arm you can bail the quad shocks and the upper control arms to free up the rear end. Thanks again!! lates

Max Motorsports Road & Track box? + torque arm?

99gt. I plan on autocrossing, drag and street use. How many of you guys run the road and track box? Is it the bomb or what? What springs to get? Race or super sport? With the race springs does it beat you up on the street? Do you keep the quad shocks with that kit? How about the race valved...
