ok as title says my wife is driving the car today starts to run rough and dies. i show up, limp the car to autocrap and have them scan to see why the ses light is on. they say cps so i change it in the parking lot and have them clear the code. runs fine......for 5 minutes. light comes back on...
well my 99 intake finally cracked at 143,000..... but it cracked right in front of the bolt closest to the firewall on the drivers side. i did a search and seen A LOT of them crack around the therm. heres my question.... is my crack normal and if i buy a replacement one is it goin to do the same...
ive had this problem too... but other than that i replaced ball joints and had the heads rethreaded, and an alternator and she has 140,000 on the clocks. i love my car its tough, handles tight, and has great power.

to answer part of your question, autometer is probably the most popular brand. they make really good gauges of all sorts, and come is such a wide variety of colors and faces.
if they are that close to the trans pan would it affect your trans fluid temp? some exhaust wrap or heat sheild of some sort would be need in my mind. correct me if im wrong
ditto. i was having this problem. changed the cps went thru my voltage system numerous times. just drop the 200 like i did and your problem will go away. but try the CPS first b/c its only like 12-15 bucks
