    ABS/TCS Failure - 07 GT

Problem resolved I had been delaying working on this due to cold weather - finally had a nice weekend temps into the 50s and I got to work on it. Found a broken wire (no indication of any pinch through the corrogated tubing). I got it spliced back together and everything is functional...

    Sticky Parking Break

Yes. There is a TSB for this. Ford revised the rear parking brake cables for 2007. Prior to, the rubber boots on the end could deteriorate allow water to enter. When that water freezes it "freezes" up the parking brake.

    Window Auto-Drop Problem

have you tried the auto-drop re-teach procedure? Don't know if it applies in your case or not (usually have to do this if the window STOPs auto dropping) procedure is simple to try, nothing to loose. Run the window down while holding the switch down for 2 seconds after it is down, then run it...

Stock shifter noise - 2006 Mustang GT

Possible dry throw out bearing? I have an '07 GT, I do hear some noise from the throw out bearing while idling in neutral, but nothing worse than any other Mustang I have owned. I do know (from helping others change their shifters out) that Ford did ADD a piece of sound deadening packing...

    ABS/TCS Failure - 07 GT

I have had this car since new - no other work been done. I really need a couple of warmer days or a heated garage / dry floor to make some progress. These cars suck in the snow without ABS/TCS.

ABS / TCS lights are back on... Well that didn't last long - ABS and TCS lights are on again. I was able to retrieve 2 codes: C1175 - Wheel Speed Sensor LR Input Circuit Failure (Pinpoint Test D) C1236 - Wheel Speed LR Input Signal Missing (Pinpoint Test E) Pinpoint Test D checks...

    ABS/TCS Failure - 07 GT

I ended up not having to get someone to pull the codes for me - I started searching stangnet and google and found hundreds of posts with symptoms same as mine. Turns out this must have been somewhat common. I found "G101". It is actually directly in front of and below the air box. The ground...

    ABS/TCS Failure - 07 GT

I have a stock 2007 GT with 60,000 miles on it. This morning the ABS light, TCS light (the one that shows you when it is on) and the TCS button "off" light all illuminated. Nothing out of the ordinary when the lights came on now I have no ABS or TCS. I need to resolve this soon as I do have...

new to this side of things...

Short answer is NO it is not possible. Long answer is YES anything is possible with enough time and money$$$. The 4.6L has a different bolt pattern vs. 302/351. The transmission you are asking about 5R55S relies HEAVILY on electronics - for example you will need a controller to tell it how...

    Maybe I'm overreacting?

To the original poster and both you guys that replied: Your car's really hit 2800+ rpms??? Mine doesn't go anywhere near that; I have an manual trans so maybe that is why I'm lower at about half that RPM on a cold start. But still 3000rpm seems excessive.

    Under hood Shroud

I wouldn't ditch it. Depending on the color of your car the primer look that hides under isn't cool.

    is it possible to carb a 06' 5.0 ?

Well I owe you an appology D.Hearne! I pulled out my 2005 Mustang workshop manual (I got the official Ford one) and on page 303-14-1 I found out the Mustang VCT does include an electronic solenoid [which would be computer controlled]. The basics of the operation is the VCT uses oil...

    is it possible to carb a 06' 5.0 ?

Just saying that the VCT is not run by a computer as you posted. However, it is monitored - same as all your basics such as your temp, oil pressure, etc. Obviously, none of those need a computer but they are all connected to the computer now-a-days.

    Hood Problem

My GT is a non-scoop car and it wobbles and shakes at 80+ . I don't think it is limited to scoop hoods.
