What's your novelty license plate say?

Dude! I had the same tags with the same problems! Last year I changed to "HAVE A V8" and get a lot of compliments. It's fun to watch the older folks pull up behind me at a light (young folks don't remember the V8 drink ads) and see them read it and start chuckling. Good times.......

New Wheels on my Mach 1

I agree...the Mach has a more classic look than the regular 99-04 Stangs and the wheels you got compliment it greatly. :nice:

New Wheels on my Mach 1

Thanks...it was about 5,000 ft. up on the Cherohala Skyway (near the Tail of the Dragon). It was either fog or I drove up in the a$$ of a cloud.

New Wheels on my Mach 1

I definately like those wheels on your Mach... the DDs are perfect on that body style! As for the FR500's...I've always been a fan (just don't like the fact that Ford doesn't make staggered sizes :notnice: ).......

    Staggering tires

Okay, I went with 245/40ZR18s in the front and 275/35ZR18s in the rear. The results weren't that much different, although visually it almost makes the spokes look like they're more flush to the face of the wheel on the fronts. I definately like driving on them a lot better (had 275 up front...

I have 2 nuts backing off!!!

I'm having a constant problem with the 2 nuts on the left rear cylinder (driver's side firewall) of my header backing off where it bolts to the head. I've tried a couple different types of nuts, but nothing. Anyone else had this problem with a solution?

    Staggering tires

I know that the sizes I'm looking at (245/40R18 and 275/35R18) are almost identical in diameter (.1" difference) so all should be well technically. I'm wanting to do this primarily for performance reasons, however, I'm also anal about how it looks and I don't want the rears to look like they're...

    Staggering tires

For the past 2 summers I have run 275/35ZR18 BFG g-Force Sports mounted on 18x9 Ford Racing FR500s. I love the tires and am in the market for a new set. What I'm thinking about is going to a narrower tire in the front so that there's not as much drag on the steering wheels. What I'm worried...

    Question about headlights

Agree with the OEMs...after the hairline cracks I got a pair of factory ones (I miss the clear side markers) and transferred the Silverstars. No problems and don't plan on any...

    Question about headlights

Got a set from them and instantly sealed 'em as well as the clear fog lights. One problem I did have was that the clearcoat that they put on the lens started peeling and the driver's side actually started getting hairline cracks in it. This may be caused by the hotter burning Silverstar bulbs...

    I need new brakes

Agreed...Stock GT brakes aren't exactly the best out there. One thing to also consider if you do decide to upgrade the front calipers to Mach1/Bullitt/Cobra is stainless braided lines. They don't add much more to the bill and add to your braking efficency when you really slam on 'em. IMHO, any...

Los Angeles - Sunny Blue Sky & a Red Mustang

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a Yule Log :D Sick pics, dude. Can't wait 'til springtime and the 17" Blizzaks come off so I can try to get my laser red looking almost as good as yours:nice:

A couple clutches came in today...

What's great is that he's an older man that owns the Carrera GT, an Aston-Martin DB7 Vantage, a Bentley Corniche and a Ferrari 612 Scagletti (pretty sure I'm missing something) and he drives all of them like they should be driven. A couple Saturdays ago he passed me in the Carrera while I was...

A couple clutches came in today...

No joke...he brought it in about a month ago complaining about it, our head Porsche tech drove it numerous times and told him that it's fine (car has a little over 3k miles and by nature you have to pretty much slip the clutch to launch) but after he picked it up he said he wanted to put one in...

I wanna be this when i grow up!!!!

Looks like one of those 1:24 scale Hot Wheels Dubz. I'm thinking more like 10g's each for the wheels, and yes those have got to take his ET down to a slow crawl...I'm thinking I could take him in my '84 VW Rabbit Diesel w/ 13" steelies and 48bhp.
