    How to Clean my engine bay

    I let my car set overnight to make sure the engine is cold. I spray the engine area with full strength Simple Green. Let it set about 30 minutes and just hose it off. I start the engine to speed the drying process. Simple Green works great as a degreaser and has a pleasent scent.

    Where to buy black bumper inserts?

    Look close on eBay and you can find the black inserts that turn gold at night and reflect. They also have a 3rd brakelight decal that shows "MUSTANG" when you use the brakes.

    Use a hair dryer to heat the adhesive behind the emblems and slowly pull them off. If the car is a late model, take extra care not to harm the clearcoat. Don't be surprised to find holes in your fenders behind the emblems. The holes are to insure proper location.

    Trunk props

    I ordered a rear spoiler for my 2001 Mustang Convertible and it came with new struts/trunk props to compensate for the added weight. I would go to a Ford dealer and get new struts and mention you want the heavy duty ones that are used on cars with a rear spoiler.

    Ziebart Diamond Gloss

    :shrug: Has anyone used Ziebarts' Diamond Gloss Treatment? A friend of mine has it on his Harley Davidson F150 and it looks real good. He said you never have to wax again. Sounds too good to be true. Besides half the fun of owning a Mustang is spending a day shining it.

    Question about re-calibrating the speedometer.

    Just go to web-cars.com/math/tiresize and use their calculator. Just enter your old and new tire sizes to determine if you need to make any corrections.
