Will Nitto 555R's 285/35/18 fit on my 18x9" wheels and under my 1998 GT without rubing? Also, the stock weheels were 225/55/16, will the new size throw my speedo off or is that as close as can come to accurate? Thanks

Do you realize how much money $1200 is? I'm only 17 and I can't afford $2500 for parts and labor... That'd be working an entire Summer to pay a mechanic for 1 day of work, what BS is that. I work just as hard. My cousin is a chevy pushrod guy, but we're going to figure this out and do it!

Ticking could be an exhaust leak, but usually you can hear that through the whole rpm range. Check your connections between the H pipe and the exhaust manifolds.

Did you hear the loudmouth before the X-pipe? Some people think that they make the car sound like the "1950 POS" you described. It may be that you just don't like the sound of the SLP complimenting your exhaust leak.

Same thing on my '98 GT. 1 exploded, replaced it, it exploded again. I bought a new housing... Works fine 1 month and counting, but one's waaay brighter than the other, which is magnified by my blueish tinted bulbs.
