    Pinging Blues

I totally understand your issue as the exact same thing happened to me (95 GTS with 150000km). I also changed pretty much all the sensors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and so on. After much $$$ and effort cleaning the MAF was the most helpful in my situation but the problem was still...

Always get shocked after turning off car?

For 3 days now I always get a shocked (small but annoying) when I get out of my car and touch it anywhere. Door, engine, frame... The only thing I changed was the tweecer install 1 week ago. Still works fine and this is only 3 days old? Any idea? Is a wire touching somewhere? Car...

How accurate is the HP/TQ estimate in EA?

After a 45 minutes datalog, I get this as my peak HP and TQ in EA HP = 290 TQ = 380 That does not seem right for my mods, actually its impossible for the stuff I have on my car.

buy tweecer or burn a chip

It depends if you are interested in learning about the EEC. I just got the tweecer and just started learning simple tunes... It is very fun but you have to learn stuff. I say tweecer RT cause you can do so much with it, and with your WB O2 you will have a pretty good setup for the RT...

    EEC Analyser MAF tab Question.

Look out  self tuning can become addictive :rlaugh: Grady Tell that to my wife :D Good thing she likes car and she even sat down with me far a MAF transer curve tutorial last night :nice: On that front, when I manually input the values in caledit they change a little bit after...

Tweecer installed and working, J4J1 loaded up :)

I guess every car is different and respond differently to tunes. I have the stock heads and cam with cobra intake and it runs great  It is very fun to play with the EEC like that. I cant wait to understand more and tune other things.

    Tweecer + J4J1 file = NO PINGING :)

I know the J4J1 file is a bit softer. I did loose a bit of pull at higher loads with the original J4J1 file. I did a little experiment and put in the GT spark table in the J4J1 file. Power is back but pinging is not. I read also that the fuel tables are different on the J4J1? My learing...

    EEC Analyser MAF tab Question.

I guess I will answer my own question. I manually put the 30 point values in the first 2 rows and it seems to have worked. I the applied the calculation and the new curve has all the right voltages! I guess a little work pays off! p.s. If there is an easier way let me know... Or maybe...

    EEC Analyser MAF tab Question.

I just loaded up my first datalog from the tweecer into the EEC Analyser. In the MAF tab, I imported my MAF curve that was used during the datalog (ie Stock Cobra) and all the voltages were off. I get like 29 points from 0-1.5 and then a 5 volt point? The software still calculates the NEW...

    Tweecer + J4J1 file = NO PINGING :)

I posted a similar message in the tuning forum but I think this is of note to all who have pinging issues. I just got the tweecer and I am now running the J4J1 (ie 94-95 Cobra) instead of the T4M0..... Guess what pinging COMPLETELY gone. Just wanted to share my experience.

Tweecer installed and working, J4J1 loaded up :)

Done, my car has never felt so good before. It runs so smooth and it idles like a new car. I cant belive how much a different it makes. As a first trail I put my stock spark table in the J4J1 and ran it like that. Much better than before but I think I have some room to improve. Anyways...

Tweecer installed and working, J4J1 loaded up :)

Well after 60 minutes of upside down work (raining outside so door closed!) tweecer is finally in and I should say working perfectly even calcon. I loaded up the J4J1 file and my idle went from up-down-up-down.... to being rock solid at 650-700 :) I dont even have my new MAF sensor yet...

Cobra vs GT MAF Sensor and MAF Transfer Curve Question

I have a question grady, I didnot receive my pmas maf yet. When I take my car out and load up the J4J1 file, should I use my stock MAF transfer or the cobra one. I hope to get it this week but it will not happen I think.

Cobra vs GT MAF Sensor and MAF Transfer Curve Question

In the same line of thought, why is the low and high slope the same on the J4J1 file. From myn reading different sources, most suggest low to be 1.2x high. What is better same or different. Thanks again.

Cobra vs GT MAF Sensor and MAF Transfer Curve Question

I was told a while back that the MAF sensor are the same in the cobra and GT. If so why does the MAF Transfer curve differ slightly between both? Thanks

What should be my first tweecer mod?

I'm not sure if I underdstand the shift retard? Mine is set at 5 now in the scalar. How can 1 value match a table of value? My timing is set at 10, spark adder global=0. Thabks again. I am focusing only on spark for now... fuel stuff later when I get wideband.
