Well after 60 minutes of upside down work (raining outside so door closed!) tweecer is finally in and I should say working perfectly even calcon. I loaded up the J4J1 file and my idle went from up-down-up-down.... to being rock solid at 650-700 I dont even have my new MAF sensor yet! Car does pull a bit less when I step on it though (Grady had said it would because the cobra file's spark table). I will start tuning the spark table next. I also fixed my stupid fan that only came on at 230 before.... now I run at a cool 190-200 and 180 highway. The only downside is that my car now pings when I downshift!!!! It only does it when I use the tranny to slow down, if I put it in neutral and use the brakes nothing. I also think I hear it at idle but I might be nuts... it is there on downshift though? Any ideas. My car did ping like a **** before but only when warm and at higher load. Overall, very cool and I love the dataloging feature....
Done, my car has never felt so good before. It runs so smooth and it idles like a new car. I cant belive how much a different it makes. As a first trail I put my stock spark table in the J4J1 and ran it like that. Much better than before but I think I have some room to improve. Anyways, my overall experience with the tweecer is only positive.... except for the upside down install .... but woth it all the way
Yeah the timing is way back on those, my timing right now maxes at 2500rpm and 34° totall it will go higher without noticeable detonation but I'm afraid to try without a WB. It's a huge improvement over the 26° stock or whatever it is Like I mentioned in your other post, the J4J1 fuel tables are mapped diffeently and it's a good ping fix but my car woudn't run with the J4J1 untill I put in my cam and then it was the opposite, the stock tune wouldn't run and the J4J1 ran great, go figure
I guess every car is different and respond differently to tunes. I have the stock heads and cam with cobra intake and it runs great It is very fun to play with the EEC like that. I cant wait to understand more and tune other things.
