What is a Saleen "Extreme"?? Just wondering.

I think you may be able to get more adjustment from the top part of the strut if you remove the rivets. So I don't think you got screwed, they just wanted to align it within specs. I could be wrong though.

I'm just a wannabe Mustang owner but it sounds like Anti-seize might work. They make spray anti-seize. Penetrating Red Grease is very good also. Both are alot better than White Lithium, just messier. (Red grease is a mess on door hinges and latches) Might wanna give them a try.

Did it seem to do it more when it was damp or rainy out? If so check your plugs, really I'd start with them, start with the basics, especially if they are original and not platinums.
