    04 4v heads

Hey all, So I got my hands on some nice 04 4v heads. They have been completely cleaned and hot tanked. They have been decked, bowl ported and then they were rapped up with a competition multi angle valve job, plus they shimmed the valve springs a little tighter. They also have new guide seals...

    2004 Cobra vs. 2002 Z06

Better? better is in the eye of the beholder. I have a baby-daughter. I love taking my wife AND daughter for 'top-down' drives along the lake (in my 385rwhp NA cobra). So better is a very relative term... I work for GM and love the 05+ vettes, but cant justify the 'functionality loss' the...

My new 2003 cobra track times!!

Your ET is normal for the 'joe lunchpail' driver. So there's nothing to be ashamed of there. You should be able to improve on your 60' however. Get it to around 1.9 on street tires and your looking at 13.10 @110-ish. Pretty respectable. PS: take all the internet-racers telling you you should...

Heat Coating for lower Intake: 01 Cobra

Heat Coating for lower Intake: Hey All, I'm contemplating having my intake extrude/honed this winter. I thought it would be a good idea to coat my lower intake with something that would act as a heat shield (something like a jet hot coating, but that could be applied at home). IMHO, a heat...

Just bought New Wheels: need tire opinions

Hey All, I just bought a set of Saleen 18 x 9" chrome wheels (with Nitto tires). The front two tires are brand new 265-35-18. The backs are worn out 275-35-18. I have two questions: What is the widest tires i can go without totally killing 'handling' (I was thinking 285's). Secondly, What...

NA Big Bore Dyno Results w/ addition

thanks. as far as nitrous goes, i'd love to, but $1300 bones on juice is not in the cards this year. After i pay off one of my 3 cars, i'm looking to buy a boat. I saw your ride the other day. I'm sure it will be baddazz for sure. couple more days i hear... PS: integrapower on detroit...

NA Big Bore Dyno Results w/ addition

All, I've dynoed my big bore combo before, but i finally decided to try a BBK 65mm throttle body. I ported the lid in an attempt to match the dual butterfly's, but I was reluctant to get too agressive due to the IAC path. I dynoed on 8/16. It was 83 degrees at alternative auto (inside the...

Need some input from the experts

So I pulled out my motorcraft platinums last night (out of boredum) because I was advised that my gap might be too tight. I originally gapped them at .050. I changed the gap to .054 So i drove the car to work this morning, and it seems to me that the car actually runs a little smoother, but...

    Wider is Better?

Hey all, I did some searches on spark plugs, and on a few occasions, peeps would chime in and say that if your N/A, you should gap your plugs as wide as possible (within specs). why is that? And does that rule apply to cobras with higher compression (say 10.5.1)? thanks peeps :flag:

    venom...need traction

its true. On the street, you will barely notice the ride difference. But if you are an AutoX'er, then keep the IRS (simple as that). Most of us are average joe's that spend 99% of the time on the street. I've never taken a sharpe corner at 60mph. That's the only real time an IRS will show its...
