    Anybody P&P heads in Canada?

DOHC head roundup at svtperformance.com http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232865&highlight=head+comparison moderately informative.

    Anybody P&P heads in Canada?

Street job is usually a bowl cleanup (area under the valve) and a gasket match. In doing a cleanup its really important that your P&P shop keeps port shapes and voiumes as close to each other as possible. I have seen people take latex molds of a finished port shape and then use that port shape...

just got the beater out of the paint booth

"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses." "Hit It" All you need is some pushbars and to paint the doors white.

    Car cover?

No offense intended, but I've been generally unimpressed with ford's quality in accessories for a while now. I'd like to try and find out who is making the covers for ford and buy direct, as I am guessing the cover will be considerably cheaper.

    Winter Storage tips

Everyone seems to do it different, but I want to know what your winter storage tips are. Hand wash/wax/detail, gas tank fill, a little sta-bil, etc. What else?

    Car cover?

Putting the snake to bed for the winter in a week or so. My b-day is coming up so I asked for a car cover that fits my car (97 cobra). What car cover do you own, and where did you buy it? I am figuring a good one is worth 300-400 bucks? Thanks, Chris

things to look for in buying a 96-98 cobra

WTF???? Rear axle bearings in 96-98 cobras are the same frickin axle bearings used in all 8.8's since like 1986. They are all 'unpacked' in the sense that they get lube from the gear oil in the rear end.

Best place to buy rebuilt/new rack&pinion in Calgary

FYI; in case anyone is wondering, the mustangshop supplied rack was the same brand as the auto value rack they were going to sell - memotech.

Best place to buy rebuilt/new rack&pinion in Calgary

Oh yeah. I forgot about them. I just called and have a rack on its way. Stupid auto-value morons. I call on phone and they tell me I have to come in because its special order. I go in and then they say its not special order. I say I want a rack and pinion for a 86 5.0. They say they have...

    04 Saleen vs. 04 Cobra

I would agrue that the Saleen is not very 'stock'. The 04 cobra is stock. For the price difference, but a 04 and put 10K into it. Then you can match two 'modified' cars against each other.

If you catch him on your property again, just tell the cops he came at you.

Woodchipper works good too. Just make sure you clean it out well afterwards.

Can anyone tell me why driveshafts cost $260 now??

Weird comparison: carbon fiber hockey sticks Y'know I was suddenly reminded of the issues with carbon fiber hockey sticks. A large number of top NHL players use carbon fiber sticks because they have more spring to them. When you swing at a puck, the shaft flexes and then at the moment of...

    KB Cobra wreck

I completely agree. Situations like this also bring into question the validity of building a 600+ HP car. I am quite certain its not envy when I say that my 97 cobra has PLENTY of power for a street car. I am planning on building up my 86 LX coupe with a 427 stroker, but its gonna be a drag car...

    Finally fixed my hesitation problem!

FYI; A multimeter is a really good tool in diagnosing bad plug wires. I pulled my plugs a couple of weeks ago and checked the resistance on each wire. There will be some variance related to the length of each wire, however all you are looking for is a big change. E.g.: On my FRPP 9mm wires, I...

If anyone can hook me up with a 302 standard bore ... PLEASE respond!

remember that roller blocks came standard in all crown vics, and f150, f250 trucks from at least 86 and up. HOWEVER, the trucks and crown vics did not use a roller cam, but they do have the roller lifter bores and retainer bolt bosses in the lifter valley. I cant believe that there isnt a...

    driveline???

Oh, and BTW, if you have ring bolts missing, I would suggest that you replace them all. Ford sells a kit to replace all the ring bolts. I see you have 4:10's ; did the person who installed the gears replace the ring bolts at the same time? I have always replaced these bolts when changing gears.
