I looked at the tranny today and it has 4 bolts holding the shifter in place. It's a hurst shifter. But the bottom part where the shifter bolts on to is red just like the tremec tko 500's. Could it be a tremec 3500 or something similiar? It's bugging me..lol:flag:

I had the same problem. I was running a aftermarket stereo and wen't through 2 alternators and before each alternator went out it squealed. My guess is you might want to run a bigger alternator.

BBK makes a good set. They are around $115 for there set. I have them on my car and they hold up fine with me.
