How much does Mach460 system weigh?

I know it's not a couple hundred pounds so it's kind of pointless, but anyone know how much the amp's and all the speakers weigh, total? I never listen to the radio in my car so I was thinking about pulling out the head-unit and replacing that slot with a custom gauge cluster. I was just...

    Randy - parts question

Hey, I'm looking for timing chains and tensioners for my new motor (2v 4.6). I noticed Cloyes makes replacement chains and tensioners but I don't know what kind of quality to expect from those since they seem to be more reasonably priced than the performance websites. I was wondering who made...

Plastic-crossover intake manifold just puked out threaded bung for sensor

One of the threaded, metal bungs that the sensors screw into on the intake coolant-crossover just popped out and gushed fluids all over my engine bay. Has anyone else encountered this - if so, is there a simple fix that doesn't involve another intake swap? I'm thinking JB Weld or something...

PI Intake on NON-PI heads (what parts r needed?)

I realize this post is as redundant as every "What oil/tires/CAI/mufflers for my car" thread, but I don't have time to search. I'm literally weeks away from replacing the motor in my 96 GT and the new motor will have PI heads. The intake on the 96 motor just cracked and I'm going to go ahead...

Randystinchcomb - Identify Ford part #? ARP head bolts needed or overkill?

5R3E-6065-AA Randy, can you give me some info on the Ford Racing part number above? I can't find any details on them. I was wondering if they would be an alternative to ARP head bolts. I plan on running upwards of 14+ lbs of boost on a 10:1 compression forged longblock with Romeo PI heads...

Mach 460 questions (Replacing head unit and door speakers)

I want to replace the head unit in a 1996 GT. I also want to replace the factory 5x7 door speakers because they are both blown. I am car-audio-ignorant. I have never messed with any car audio so I have no idea about how this stuff wires up and what not to do. I tried to search a little...

Please: Who manufactures Steeda-branded plug wires?

I need to know who is the maker/supplier of Steeda's branded, 8mm spark plug wire. I'm not going to bad-mouth their product but I'm having problems with a set that I shouldn't be having. I need to replace them and I want to be sure I don't buy the same wires. Anyone know, without a doubt...

    Intake gaskets reuseable? (I searched)

I swapped intakes with new fel-pro gaskets less than a year ago and I made a mistake that is now forcing me to remove the intake. Do I need to replace the gaskets or can I leave the existing ones? (2-valve NPI/PI style intake gaskets)

What is special about '96 GT/Cobra radiators?

Why is there always a seperate radiator listed for 1996 GT's and Cobras? I'm transplanting a 2001 Cobra block with 2V PI heads into a 96 GT and I can't figure out what kind of radiator to buy.

    Cam-cap cracked...how bad is this? *Pic's ->

A gentleman just sent me these pic's of a set of PI heads he's wanting to sell. The latter-style cam-cap/girdle is cracked. What would've caused this? I don't see any damage to the cam or valvetrain in that area so the damage was most likely caused while the valve covers were off, or after...

What radiator for 96 GT with 01 Cobra block & PI heads?

What is different about the 96 GT radiator from the 97+ GT's? When shopping, it seems that SOHC/DOHC radiators are the same? I'm using a factory oil-cooler like this one: Is that going to have any impact on radiator selection? I'm not afraid of a little fabbing, so if any of you DIY...

Clicking sound when turning... what is it?

I get a "Click...click...click...click...click..." from my front wheels when turning. If I make a right turn, the left-front wheel clicks. If I make a left turn, the right-front wheel clicks. Never both at the same time. And the click-rate increases as I speed up, and decreases as I slow...

Re-use main studs on engine rebuild or get ARP???

Can you use the stock main-cap studs again? They aren't one-time, torque to yeild are they? How much power will they hold? In a couple weeks, after my forged rotating assembly arrives, I'm having the the Cobra aluminum short block assembled. If I'm pushing 650HP at the fly, do I need to go...
