Is the clutch pack moan/rubbing TSB fix really necessary?

Yeah, I talked to a buddy of mine, who is a ford mechanic at our ford dealership. He told me that the TSB was basically a noise issue(friction material on clutchpacks are too thick) and that it is not hurting anything at all, other than being annoying to the ears. He said to be careful not to add...

    Another clutchpack question?

Since the clutchpacks are to thick causing the moan/rubbing. Wont the friction material on the clutchpacks wear down after driving the car for 20,000 -30,000 miles causing the moan/rubbing to eventually stop?

    Axle Moan Fixed

If the clutch packs are the only promblem with the rearend. Do you really have to get it fixed? Is it really hurting anything or is it mainly a noise issue because of the clutch packs being too thick and rubbing. I would rather have them rubbing, knowing i have extra material on my clutch packs...

    Hood shake problem build dates

Take the rubber strip off at the cowl underneath your windshield wipers. The reason why the hood shakes is because of poor design by ford. The air gone in can not escape causing hood shake. By deleting the rubber strip will let the air escape and your promblem is solved.

    rear differential noise

I was wondering the same thing. Mine sounds more like a slight rub or something, not really a moan or groan. It sounds more like a suspension or brake rub. Anybody else notice this when making tight turns?

Hey PoopDawg Since you were a ex ford tech, have you heard anything about having to use 5w20 because of the tight tolerances in the variable cams or did ford and honda do this to get better fuel mileage and look good for the epa. I just think it is to thin and want some extra...

can you use 5w30 in the 05-up mustang?

I no the 05 and up mustangs call for 5w20 oil, but i heard that 5w20 oil is to thin for the engine and will lead to engine damage in the future. I am hearing now that the new 3 valve engine tolerances need the 5w20 oil because of the variable cams and that if you use 5w30 or thicker the engine...
